Can I be put down as 2dpo please? Trying so hard not to symptom search though! Every little twinge or odd feeling gets my brain working in overdrive, I wish it would be quiet!

Hello! I am in month two of officially TTC. I feel like last month we didn't do a great job of trying so am in a way glad we didn't get pregnant cos i was doing it all wrong! I was drinking a couple of days, eating brie and taking ibuprofen, which I have discovered can prevent implantation!! Also DTD was difficult at times due to the unbareably hot weather!

So last month I had a 26 day cycle so am starting to try earlier this month. I was chatting to my friend who is a GP and mother of two! She told me that earlier is better because apparently sperm can live inside you for up to 7 days!! So we are giving that a try and started last night on CD6! Has anyone else successfully used this method? Again just to say I am reluctant to use ovulation tests until we are a few months into trying! OH is feeling the pressure as it is!

Why don't people just try to DTD as often as possible? The only way to get pregnant is via sex so you might as well have some fun at the same time! When me and OH begin we will just be at it like rabbits and see what happens!

Does anyone get really bad pain when they ovulate? I'm suffering some really bad cramps and pains sometimes, i'm wondering if it could be ovulation? I havent had a regular period yet since coming off the depo 6 months ago so i can't tell by dates of what my body is supposed to be doing!

Can I please be changed to 0 DPO. Finally got a positive opk.

Lisajane - i have been dtd every 2-3 days up to positive opk as heard similar about sperm.

I had back ache and cramps a couple of days before so not sure if it was related.

Well AF has definitely arrived so can I be changed to CD1 please?

I think for a lot of people life gets in the way and this just isn't possible every day every month. I know in the beginning I thought this was all it would take but actually it isn't always as easy as that!

I agree! We both work full time and are exhausted most evenings...dtd a few times mid week can be quite challenging!

Thanks for answering as you can tell I'm relatively new to all of this. OH and I work at opposite times of the day but I think we will just try our best to do it when we can. OH is very mindful of us getting stressed out with opks and the like because he knows stress won't help the baby making!

Well I think AF is near for me. Fertility friend thinks I might have ovulated this month, looking at about 12dpo today. I didn't update on here for fear fertility friend would change it's mind!! Lol!! I have been POAS each morning from 10dpo this month, just because I can't take my medication if I'm pregnant. So thought I would check each day, although the chance is slim to none! BFN each time My usual pre AF ache has now started so I think I may be CD1 soon

Anyone testing this weekend? We've done well on the BFP front so far this month! Would I be greedy for wanting more this month, for all you lovely ladies?! Fx
