It was just a general question, i was hit in the drivers side wing which forced me into a wall straight on which caused damage to the front end so id of thought something would of gone off.

If you were sitting stationary at a t-junction and they came from your right and hit your drivers wing, they couldn't have pushed you forward. You must've had some forward momentum. Sounds to me like you pulled out and conveniently can't remember anything.

I bought the car 2 weeks before the accident thinking it was a safer car compared to my old mg zr, silly me thinking airbags were a safety feature. I didnt know they caused more harm than good.

They rarely do. I have had two cars that have been involved in accidents where the air bags have deployed. In both cases the air bags prevented serious injury, possibly even death. Medical treatment was necessary in both cases however... to treat the relatively minor burns and abrasions caused by the airbags themselves.

surely if you passed out before the impact you have no idea what happened! if you were turning right at a T Junction you would have been in gear with feet on the appropriate peddles - blacking out would have caused feet to go lax and car to shoot forward!! other driver in shock and cant explain to ambulance crew what happened - therefore knock for knock (act of God if you like) emergancy staff cant be witnesses as they were only called out to to the aftermarth and did not see the impact.

There's no such thing as an "act of god" (prove it...). No insurer will claim this, but you hear people moaning about it all the time, especially in the news about the floods. Its just an urban myth.
    3. An insurer will turn down your claim if it deems it an 'Act of God'
MYTH: There is no such thing as an Act of God in insurance terms. Freak weather or storm claims can be refused if the insurer disputes the damage or the cause of the claim is not covered under the plan, but it will not be God's fault.

There is an insurance term "Act of God" however it's really only used in Marine Insurance and even then is not that common.

People will often use "Act of God" or "Force Majeure" (Force of Nature) to describe an event such as the OP was potentially involved in where there was an accident due to a medical problem eg a heart attack whilst driving with no previous problems. Which would normally mean any damage they do is not there responsibility and the injured parties need to pay their own losses

Thank you Insideinsurance cleared that up for me.

An airbag is powered by an explosive charge. It will inflate and then deflate within one 50th of a second. This would cause an extremely hard impact with your face and arms, as well as possibly causing burns from the hot gasses. But the impact from the airbag would be far less than that of your head hitting parts of the inside of the car.

As others have said, on modern cars airbags will only deploy at certain angles of impact, and where the impact from the airbag would be less than the impact between your body and the interior of the car.

The angle of the impact will also determine which airbags deploy. There is no point in your steering wheel airbag deploying if the impact is from the side.

There is such a thing as "act of god" - obviously not being literal

The "myth" the website is talking about is own damage claims. The OPs insurers reference to act of god is in reference to the liability aspect and therefore who is liable for the TP's costs/ the OP's right of recovery from the TP

If you were stationary, the damage to your vehicle would be different from damage caused if you were moving forwards.

If your were blacked out, as you say, your evidence that you were stationary isn't very credible.

A forensic vehicle examiner will sort this one out.
