Just sent brief messages (from wife & me) saying leaving due to uncompetitive charges & could they confirm unfair exit fees (£25 per line of stock) would be waived.
Wife got long message back saying please wait till after Saturday 1 March when full details of their negotiated lower than anyone elses fund managers fees would be revealed. Agreed to waive fee for in specie transfer ;)but no offer of lower fee.
I got no reply yet!
We will be better off with Interactive Invester due to flat fee, ability to link 3 accounts (2 ISAs 1 Funds/Shares) and pay only one flat fee (£80 pa), don't deal much.
HL 0.45% fee = £80 on £18,000 - add c£2,200 for each deal to work out break even point.
