Natwest problem - Recalling payment

Hi guys, so basically I contacted Natwest throughout the whole of last week after redirecting me everywhere and every number and today they said they cannot recall a payment I made because I apparently did a transfer. So they gave me the Financial Legal Obmudsman's number, so I contacted them, will they be able to sort it out? My situation is...
1. I paid for a item(Laptop) on 7th January 2014, the item has not been received to date.
2. I tried contacting the company who I paid to and they are avoiding my e-mails for the last 3 weeks. (I tested this because I made a anonymous e-mail account to ask something and they replied immediately to that)
3. I used their account number and sort-code to pay, these were the only details given to me.
4. I thought I would wait 2 weeks if my order arrived, it didn't so I contacted my bank Natwest and after various calls being made here and there (they even told me go to Lyods TSB Bank because the person I paid to, their account was Lyods TSB, and they told me to go to Natwest because it;s their problem), they said they can't recall a transfer because I apparently might have sent the money to a friend, even though I have all the evidence in my e-mail account.
I don't understand because when you pay through online banking, the option is "payment or transfer" when you click that, you only have one form to pay in. There isn't a seperate form saying "if it's a transfer, input the amount here" or "it it's a payment, input the amount here".
So I ask, is there any way whatsoever I will be able to get my money back by the help of the Ombudsman? I spoke to him and even he said Natwest shouldn't just give out the number like that, Natwest are supposed to deal with it.
Sigh
Edit -- sorry if this is in the wrong section. I hope it's in the right one.

Afraid, if you paid by bank transfer, you have no safety net if the goods don't turn up. You cannot cancel or recall a payment made by bank transfer.
If your supplier is in the UK, which they appear to be since they have a Lloyds bank account, you might be able to take your complaint to Trading Standards, or you could raise a Money Claim Online (online version of small claims court) if your goods don't show up.
Did you ever get an order acknowledgement? What does it say about the delivery lead time? What is the name of the company you ordered from? What is the value of the order?0 -
1. I did get a order acknowledgement saying "Thank your for interest in Uk Electro products. Your order has been received and will be processed once payment has been confirmed." With all my shipping details etc
Order ID: 2099
Date Ordered: 05/01/2014
Payment Method: Bank Transfer
Shipping Method: Flat Shipping Rate
Other details too.
After the payment is complete, please send us a scanned copy or an
image of the receipt so we can begin the shipping process. Thank you.
2. Delivery is supposed to be 2 days from Liverpool, that was the address on their website and now they have changed it to Leeds.
3. Company is called UK-Electro. Website -- uk-electro.com
4. Value of the order is £526.35
Their terms and agreement mention everything too, they did not live up to their end of the bargain.
Thank you for the reply Innovate.0 -
Was the sort code 30-59-59 ?
It's not authoritative but a quick google throws up this

You are all right, you guys seem to have known this before? Any hope for me?0 -
Fair chance you got scammed. Report it to Actionfraud immediately http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
Also get on to Lloyds again, with a formal written complaint, since they appear to allow a fraudulent company to hold an account with them. Ask them to either prove to you that the account holder is legitimate, or to return your money to you immediately. Tell them that you will take your case to the Financial Ombudsman if Lloyds do not settle your complaint to your satisfaction within 8 weeks (the minimum statutory time you have to give them). Also give Lloyds the crime reference number that you get from Actionfraud.
If you think you are out of your depth on this, go to your local CAB and ask for help.
Don't pursue it through Natwest, they can't do anything for you.0 -
Pay them a visit - premises seem to exist though there doesn't seem to be a mass of storage space for the range they allegedly sell. What was the Liverpool address ?
50, Canal Bridge Enterprise,
Liverpool CH65 4EH, United Kingdom
United Kingdom
They have 2 addresses on their website.
This is the first time in my life I have been scammed. And I do a Computer Forensic course !!!!!!.0
