I've asked previously here without luck, and google doesn't really come up with anything useful, but I have wings for dinner tomorrow, so I thought I'd give it another try.
Does anyone please have a recipe for chinese salt and pepper chicken wings? Not just wings fried that were salted and peppered, but these have a sauce too.
Ta!

Thanks for those, and I've seen some like it previously... the one I was looking for though was one that did it like the takeaway version, which has a sauce rather than being a dry fried idea.
Though it's always been called salt and pepper chicken wings in every takeaway I've had it, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm after something else entirelySoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

I love wings but am pretty boring when it comes to the mariande - I usually just use a BBQ (ketchup and worcester and HP) or just brush them with honey and bake them.

lime/lemon & chilli
couple of limes/lemons
red chilli
salt and pepper
squeeze the juice out of the fruits onto the chicken (works best marinading in a bag) and then add in the squished fruits. chop up a chilli or 2 and add that in with some salt and pepper.
harissa chicken
harissa paste spread onto the chicken and grilled. very simple.
chinese style
marinade chicken in a rough mixture of soy sauce, five spice powder, chinese rice wine (if you have it), salt & pepper, teriyaki sauce/hoisin sauce.0 -
chicken wings in oyster sauce are lovely. I don't know where you can buy oyster sauce from now though. I haven't made them for years, this has just reminded me, I will have a look in sainsburys tomorrow.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

This one was in a Delia Smith recipe book.
2 Tblsp Worstershire sauce
1Tblsp Tomato puree
1Tblsp Tomato ketchup
1Tsp English mustard
1 Tsp French mustard
1 Tsp Sugar
1Tsp Soy sauce
1 Tsp Paprika
1 Tblsp Vegetable oil
Mix the ingredients together.
Stab chicken skin with a knife.
Cover chicken with the marinade and leave as long as you can, over night would be ideal.
Cook.

I got a pack of 8 for 50p at sainsburys. DD says she has them when she goes to nandos with friends but cant tell me whats done to them there.
Never been there so, what can I do with them?
She would be the only one eating them. DH won't eat them and I'm a veggie.0
