'Tis time to settle down for the evening with my magazines until 10pm when I plan on going to bed :D

I've had a busy day in the bedrooms but they're now done as much as possible until I get the donation stuff collected :j DD has also dusted & vacuumed both rooms since she had no homework :D
I've squeezed in a bath, went to see 2 customers and then came home via the c0-op for some bits to go with the tinned haggis I'd bought for tea. DD wasn't impressed, but I loved it so I may go back to @1di and get some to have when she's away ;)

    If its gone, its done!

    Monday Madness- Bathroom
Clean toilets, don't forget under the rim! Going to let it soak overnight in bleach ;)

Terrible Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    15 minutes...

    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    30 minutes to spare...
    Sweep and mop floors
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
    Got an hour...
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer filters need to be done too!!

    Personal (for week)
    Copy mirror notes onto paper!
    Clean mirrors
    Start 'big shop' list
    Laundry (lights, darks, reds, towels)
    Ironing
    Shredding
    Update finances
    Vacuum stairs
    Vacuum downstairs
    Mop downstairs.
Email (log into work email online and sort, personal email to sort, follow up anything needing action, do surveys etc)
Log into school website after finding parent log in info (add log in info to diary reference page) chase up any log-in problems asap.
Sort out lists to laminate (time management plan for 3 week schedule)
Sort this years birthday card list out (Double check there's no 'special' except DD turning 13 & Nephew 1st)
Errand list (bank, card shop, supermarkets?)
HH photo sorting. (Yes, that Cane toad is back on my list!)

Tomorrow is going to be an admin day (while doing the laundry) so I can get all my surveys etc up to date. I need to get my work accounts up to date. One of my customers has asked if I can call back Friday so I think I might leave the bank until Friday and then DD can go to town with me after school to get the card for her dad's wedding. DD wanted to get them something as well so the gift is being made by another MSE member and DD is chuffed as its personalised but is actually going to cost less than some of the things she was looking at ;)

Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!

After Dusty's Reception Room declutter last week, we are going back to normal flying for the week..

Thank you to Dusty for last week's thread :D

THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.

There are 3 levels per day deepening on how much time you have. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines/todailies are anything you need to do today and every day stuff like laundry, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie/binbag dance - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!

    Ok here goes this week!

Monday Madness- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    15 minutes...
    Clean floors in these rooms
    30 minutes to spare...
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget under the rim! and sinks
    Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Got an hour...
Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! (the proper bins not the rooms that look like bins!)
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just burn it!
    Extra mission:
    • Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
    • Wipe down the doors and frames in these rooms.
    • clean the radiators in these rooms
    • Fling all those empty bottles and tubes
    • Replace sponges/flannels/toothbrushes that are in need

Terrible Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    15 minutes...

    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    30 minutes to spare...
    Sweep and mop floors
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Got an hour...
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean fridge and see what needs using first (why do I have 4 jars of cranberry sauce in mine?)
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Clean oven if it really needs it.. or just do the hob.. mines gross.. you need to shame me into cleaning it!
    • HHI .. bit of a catch up!!
    • Write an inventory of your cupboards contents and what needs using first
    • Empty the cutlery drawer.. clean it out, wash the cutlery tray, chuck those baby spoons you don't use any more.. how many medicine spoons do you actually need? get rid of everything you don't use and make the drawer look nice again!

    Today I have
    - compiled a PowerPoint for a genealogy talk
    - dealt with the electrician umpteen times: DH had not prepared the garage in the way he had been advised [please note careful choice of words], so that took Mr Sparky much longer than he had planned, and the Garden Gang had made a ****=up with a cable run under the pavin, soand sorting that out was also a long job. As Mr Sparky is recovering from flu and still quite poorly, I don't think he was best pleased :(
    - made soup for lunch
    - cleaned everywhere downstairs and upstairs (very quickly, but steam-mopped kitchen floor and it looks soooooo much better)
    - prepared evening meal for ten: old young wives group visiting
    - laid table for nine; DH wanted to eat in the kitchen
    - carried 2 dining chairs downstairs from our bedroom
    - carried computer, mouse and keyboard downstairs
    - set up computer linked to widescreen TV instead of usual monitor for genealogy talk
    - carried monitor downstairs and set up computer with it as usual
    - fed ten people with delicious food *nom-nom*
    - tried to persuade TV to link to my computer
    - failed
    - carried monitor downstairs and set up computer with it as usual
    - tried to persuade monitor to link to my computer
    - Yay! it worked! (but monitor screen is less than one quarter of the size of the TV)
    - Gave talk with PowerPoint
    - Chatted with friends until they left at about 10.45
    - Cleared table
    - Put uneaten food in fridge or freezer (not much of it!)
    - Loaded and started DW
    - WUDUPA saucepans and other stuff which won't go in the DW
    - Piled up everything that wouldn't fit in the first DW load, ready to be washed in the morning
    - Moved furniture back and plumped up cushions in lounge
    - Unhooked computer and monitor, carried them upstairs, re-connected everything on my desk - and it works!
    - Had strong urge to kick TV (and/or DH, who suggested it in the first place and reckoned he knew how to do it ) but decided discretion was the better part of valour
    - caught up with Fred

Tomorrow should be less hectic ;)

Now very ready for bed. Night-night all!

    I'm in!
Just getting on to state my intentions and will then edit down a bit.
DD is being a baggage about homework and I am not best pleased. Have paid DS's deposit for his camp and saw a thing on Parentpay for DD. £775 for a week skiing next Easter. She won't be going.
DH has STILL not hung my bedroom door so keep getting woken up by ndn's littlies if they cry in the day (not often but you know when you just feel meh?). He also hasn't checked which element we need for the oven so I still have only the small oven :(.

Will be leaving a frog out for him though when I leave for work tonight (Tuesday). I have 2 wicker baskets which have been in my bathroom since November. They are full of DIY carp. He can empty and bin them.
