Mud!!

I totally sympathise. Captain Dumbass is like a mud factory. If there's any mud to be found, he will be in it. He loves to run through long grass so gets all wet and muddy under his belly. And he loves to jump into the river so ends up soaking wet and covered in mud. Then he rolls on the grass. He's a long haired dog atm because he's not been clipped for a few months and it rains a lot here. We have mud and doggy slobbers all over the glass doors, if you lift his bed up there's mud there, we're talking about painting the wall behind his bed brown to hide the mud stains. There's thick mud on top of the fridge (how on earth does it get up there) and all over the shelves in the kitchen. The tv unit needs dusted constantly. The sofa needs cleaned frequently. And our new bedding got covered in mud within 1 day of being put on the bed.
But I can't resist his big doggy grin and big sad eyes and waggy tail.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I'm struggling with one! Why no hot water?
No hot water or ch because no boiler. Really long story. E had a new boiler, it didn't work, mediation system means you cannot have new one out in during that time ( first winter) then this winter has been the court case ( we won on summary judgement but are left pulling thing out and trying to replace..... ) Its been a couple of years now....this is second winter no hot water.
We have upgraded electricity ( which we need now for next stage of heating/ hw progress) coming this week :T:T.
Edit: we only had two dogs and bought the third with the heating going in. It was an...at last we have heating and we can get the pup......then it didn't work

Sounds like mine! One of them only has quite short legs too so always ends up with a 'tide mark' halfway up, below which is more mud than dog.
I'd considered one of these, but I'm not sure if I can cope with the embarrassment!

My friend has got one of these for her dog, he's a Cockerpoo. I must admit that it does look funny on him but it keeps him clean so he's ok to go back in the car. But, as she says, she's always washing it and sometimes it's easier to wash the dog!Person_one wrote: »Sounds like mine! OMG, what a lot of faffing about. You must be freezing and fed up with boiling kettles.

Its more the delay in moving forward with the rest of a refurb. Boling a kettle to mop a tiled floor, for exapnd, is no big deal. Coping on concrete is actually much harder. Still, hopefully we can move forward and progress now.

Having just got back from a walk with two black dogs who were white when we set off, I'm more and more tempted!

Decided housework can wait til the morning. Found a big muddy bum print on the kitchen floor after my first post lol0

I have 2 longhaired dogs - luckily they don't moult but the rain this winter has been a nightmare.
I seem to spend every day walking or drying them. There is always mud every where downstairs (smallish open plan house) and I am forever mopping the floor.
Also the dust is unbelievable. Although I dust all the time it never looks like I do and I am sure if I left it for a couple of weeks I could grow potatoes in it!The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
Big dogs, white walls, don't know what I was thinking  It's a small room so the white does help make it look a bit bigger, so I can't bring myself to paint it a more sensible colour, but it does take some maintenance (the odd re-coat - the previous owner had hideous blue and green walks previously, so wiping down the paint makes that bleed through), proper wipeable paint seems to have a bit of a sheen to it though so not all that keen.
Oh well, it gives it a lived in look I suppose. And takes the attention away from the cobwebs :rotfl: And it's far better here than when we used to live in the middle of a farm, and the dogs used to get home from walks looking like this :eek:0
