And I have available credit over twice my "good salary" and (stoozing) debt of well over my annual salary.
They're simply a gimmick...as you now realise, hopefully?
But seriously, can you not see the flaws in those "tests"?...especially if you got the same scores on each, when the second asks for vastly less info?
EDIT: I see checkmyfile suggested 3 cards I may be accepted for. Now, forgive me for being sceptical, but I wonder if applying via there will earn checkmyfile a referral payment. Actually, I don't wonder...I know. Click one of your suggested cards to see.
I think I'll rest my case there. Good luck in your search for a comparable card (or your appeal to Halifax).
Thanks for the continuous patronising put downs, all I've been trying to do is look for ideas why Halifax saw me as high risk when I know my credit reports suggest otherwise. Think I'll call it a day.0 -

Everyone on here is telling you/will tell you not to pay any attention to random numbers/words generated by people who are looking to profit from you (Experian via their monthly subscription/score purchase, and checkmyfile via referral payments). I can understand you (now) don't feel good about being conned like this, but at least you now know that these numbers/words mean nothing.
Like I say, good luck.0 -

They are simply stating that a CRA score is irrelevant. The way that Halifax scores your application bears no relationship to any score a CRA will provide you with.
Basically, if they don't see you as a profitable customer, for whatever reason, they will likely reject you.0 -

Pile of rubish checkmyfile, says 827 score. I own my house no debt and even have american express card.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I successfully applied for the Halifax Clarity card within the last three weeks. (I didn't think I would get it)
I have 6 other credit cards with available credit of approximately 160% of my income although the outstanding balance is next to nothing.
I have 19 bank accounts with around £6000 available overdraft none used.
I have 5 current accounts with Halifax three are Reward accounts. They make no money from me as I simply run £1k from my overdraft facility through the accounts to qualify for the 3 £5 reward payments.
I own my house outright so no mortgage.
There must be something that offsets the effect of multiple accounts and large available credit.0 -
