Well I can't see "Light Rabbit Ltd" listed at companies house.

Why do you expect them to be listed at Companies House?

As mentioned in post #2, they are based in Jersey, and are registered in their equivalent of the UK's Companies House.

    Oh yeah. Stupid me.
I thought "The UKs No1 LED Light Bulbs Supplier" would be UK based.

OP I had exactly the same when buying spectacles last month (NB from a different company). Being a stroppy !!!!!! I referred it to the ASA who upheld the complaint it turned out a gremlin had crept into the system, friends have since used the co without problem
  • Is there anything on their website to advise customers that they may get charged VAT and a handling fee when their goods get delivered?
I had a quick look at the website and may have missed it, but I couldn't find anything.

I know that they are not legally obligated to have this info, but it would be good customer service to show it.

I just did a mock-up order for 1 bayonet bulb which was about £15. I applied the voucher code "saber15" which gave me 15% off, and the delivery was free. I think it's time to delete this libellous thread. Also, I have used them a few times. My house it fully LED bulbed. I had a few faulty bulbs from them and they instantly replaced them, without wanting the dodgy ones back. Top customer service.

The only thing libellous on this thread is your quoted post above. I suggest you wind your neck in.

I just spent £28 on the site and I didn't get charged for delivery. Are you sure you selected a UK address? I have bought from them before and never been charged for delivery.

Just had a look on WOT and Coopdivi looks like a crank. He hasn't a nice word to say about any site - have a look!

I've just looked at your WOT activity: one post about Light Rabbit which makes you look like a shill. :rotfl:

  • Interestingly the company that i found had the best products never mentioned anything about being the biggest, the best, the quickest, the cheapest, don't have ludicrous RRP prices crossed out with something much cheaper as the real price suggesting you are getting some huge deal when the reality is you are not and one of the LED companies i looked at literally halved the lifespan figures of one of their products over night. I bought a GU10 from them with a 50,000 hour lifespan, it was crap, went back onto the site 3 days later and the lifespan figure had miraculously halved to 25,000.

There seem to be a lot of shysters in this industry using marketing guff to hide the reality of their products.

Am i right in thinking this industry isn't regulated at all? It should be, the consumers need protecting.

Indeed - I thought it was appropriate to make a real life user review. The crank had never bought from them before, has left litrally over a 1500 bad reviews on various sites on WOT and both myself and memmot have bought from the company. Therefore we are the only people qualified to actually comment on this company. I have nothing else to add but you guys mainly seem to be out for blood for some unearthly reason. Bad karma! :A

"We" ie. the great unwashed who have never used this company are only out for the truth (just like Mulder and Scully).

Others may have different axes to grind.

Especially people that only registered to defend a company that established members are suggesting are poor.

    Hmmm :rotfl:

I just added the GU10 bulbs and tried to check-out. It does add shipping and handling on so the free delivery plastered all over the website is clearly tosh.
    Thinking critically since 1996....
