Used them before - no problems; got some good advice over the phone too...0 -

I have to say that I found VetUK fine for a while (although slightly pricier than others for my main purchase of Burns kibble), but they have gradually become not such a great company to deal with.
My last four orders in a row were delayed due to one of the items being out of stock (you have to buy several items to get the free delivery). Each time the delay was about a week, rather than the next day or next but one day I'd previously enjoyed. Very irritating, especially the 4th time it happened! In my last order I purchased a non-pull harness, which was slightly too large - so I very carefully and conscientiously removed the hairs with sticky tape, repackaged and sent it back the next day at my own expense. They claimed:
"unfortunately we are unable to issue a full refund as the item is covered in dog hair, making it unsalable. On this occasion we shall only be able to offer a 50% refund as the harness will now have to be sold as seconds. Alternatively we can return the harness back to you."
As a long-term, regular customer I was absolutely outraged.
I pointed out that if I had gone to my local branch of Scampers I know for a fact that I would have been able to try the item on my dog (no subsequent sticky tape cleaning needed!) ... without the staff then telling me that the item was now an 'unsalable' second and that I'd have to stump up 50% of the sale price!
The joke is that the item is black ... and so is my dog! How it could have been 'covered in dog hair' after such careful cleaning, I'll never know.
I received a response today, adding insult to injury:
"As per our previous email that harness is deemed unsaleable, we shall now be returning it back to you. Please feel free to clean the harness and return it back to us for a full refund."
i.e. two lots of postage, which might as well have been half the cost of the item! Really intelligent - not! Although they appear to have discovered how to spell unsaleable in the interim. :T
That's the end of my association with this company.
I'll simply re-sell the item on eBay - and have taken the advice of someone on this forum to shop with Surrey Pet Supplies. Even WITH the postage of £3.99, I'll still save £1.28 on a 15kg bag of my usual Burns Fish and Brown Rice.

I'm surprised that I haven't seen mutleyandmog on here.
They have excellent service and always have someone available to speak to on the phone or by email.
They also have reasonable delivery charges for the Highlands & Islands, Ireland etc. I think they don't discriminate based on where you live. It's all done on the weight of your parcel.0 -
Hi, I would just like to add my bit. I purchase a Halti Harness from noodleb co uk it came very fast and was cheap too.0

Hi
I'm suprised no one has mentioned pet prescription (.co.uk) I've been buying stuff from them for my two cats for the last few years and never had any problems.
At the moment you can get buy 3 get 1 free on all drontal worming tablets, for dogs as well as cats and I found them much cheaper than the vets without that offer! I think they're only doing it for July though? :T0 -
Hi folks,
Would just like to mention this online supplier as I have found them to be absolutely fantastic - hypo allergenic gluten free dry foods, great customer service and a very good price - even the delivery charges for me here in Ireland aren't extortionate as they usually are. I think well worth a look!
Nutrixpetfoods co uk, sorry can't post links yet.0 -
I like seapets.co.uk - it is well worth checking their special offers.
Just now Almo Nature Cat Food : buy 5 cans get 1 free.
Last time this particular offer went on for ages - I was taken aback when it ended - got a cupboard full now :j.
It is the only wet food my cat will eat - very good quality, but a bit pricey. I also buy Almo Nature Dry cat food from this site.
Seems to be only place with stock of Cat Dental Easy Treats.
I buy some of my bunny supplies here - she is happy now, by the way.0 -
I ordered Buddys food, diastix, syringes and venision ears from Viovet and it came today. Very impressed with Viovet.0
