Just like to recommend Milbry Hill for dog food, in particular Royal Canin. I have found its sometimes almost a tenner cheaper than other places and delivery is really quick.Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0

Have started to use G W Titmuss with cashback from Quidco as they were cheapest for the food I use. Order was acknowledged same day and delivered the next. My last Chemistdirect order took 3 weeks despite chasing, and the last Pet Planet one took 4 weeks of chasing to get delivery. With 2 large dogs to feed, I had ended up paying a fortune for small bags of food as I don't drive, so won't be using the slow delivery services again.0

Anyone recommend any online store for hay? I usually buy a standard size bale from a farm shop near me but they have sold out and will not have anymore until June. It used to cost me £3-4 and all the small bags (not even a 1/10th of the size) will cost £1.5-£3!!!
Also, anyone know where i can get shredded cardboard from that will deliver to felixstowe?0 -

You need to watch out when ordering from Titmuss. They have a complicated way of determining whethere post is free depending on weight. I ended up paying seven pounds postage, meaning I hadn't made any savings from my normal supplier who gives a straighforward free postage when you spend over a set amount. Who's going to keep working out the weight of Titmuss's products to make sure they don't pay over the odds for postage?0

Over the years I've had to order medical supplies for my cats who've had various ongoing conditions, including diabetes and CRF (chronic renal failure). There is a good set of links below at Tanya's UK CRF site (excellent site, BTW) for medical supplies and also food. I can vouch for vet-medic.co.uk as I must have ordered more from them than anyone else! Great service and quick delivery. Direct Medical Supplies were very good also. Both sites do free P&P if your order is over a certain ££ value. Vet-medic will also supply prescription only drugs if you obtain (for a charge) a private prescription from your vet. This includes specalised Veterinary Diets.
For anyone caring for a diabetic pet - did you know you can walk into a chemist and buy insulin syringes OTC, just ask the pharmacist nicely. You don't have to buy them from your vet as then you're paying VAT on 'animal supplies'. Same syringes!
Foodwise, I really do believe that our beloved pets deserve the best we can afford to feed them. And I'm not a fan of dry food for cats or dogs, I honestly believe that even the cheapest own brand wet canned food is better than dry food, especially for cats. My current furry friends eat canned food with some raw meat. Everytime the supermarkets have a BOGOF or similar on fresh stewing/braising steak (preferably organic) I stock up for the freezer. Small portions of steak, bagged up and frozen can be easily defrosted. They absolutely love it, there's no waste at all.
Apologies, I can't post links yet, but if you go to felineCRF.org and click on 'Supplies' you'll find Helen's current list of UK suppliers.0 -
Is petdispensary.co.uk a reliable supplier? My dog needs 5mg of Vetmedin daily and I'm currently paying twenty-something pounds for a month's supply0

Urinary problems with male cats - vet told me Glucusamine was good for this! So I have been buying tablets from Aldi & crushing them (1/2 per cat) & sprinkling over their wet food in the mornings (note; my cats are senior so their joints will benefit from this also). Aldi do v cheap vitamin & mineral suppliments.0
