Hi ND,
Don't worry about your house looking like a bomb has gone off. Mine always looks like that. I think it should be a factor in bringing my home & contents insurance down as if a burglar did break in, he'd assume someone had beaten him to it and just leave!!!:rotfl:
Some days it's worse. Bombs leave more of a semblance of order than Thistle can manage some days!!!

I have been reading on other forums about other people that have done it and I must say its mostly positive but a few that havent enjoyed the quiet boring villagy lifestyle. I guess its a lifestyle you have to become accustomed to. I know I will struggle not having a town centre with my usual shops around (Home B, Wilks, QD, B&M etc.. all my barg stores) I suppose you have to travel and stock up with things. Its a way of life you have to get used to doing things differently.
Well, it's good that she's singing from the same hymn sheet as you about wanting to go, but sorry to hear things aren't good between her and her dad. It's horrible having to watch kids suffer in a relationship with their NRP and not be able to do much to improve things.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Its really hard and I find myself sticking up for him even though I really want to say 'I know he's blooming useless!' I want them to have a great relationship with them as I know what its like, I didnt have a good one with mine.
What I would really really love is to find someone to take his place and adore them like I do. I know it wont be the same thing as a proper dad but for now I am good enough as both parentsMFW 16 No 33

Tell me about it! That's what I'd like to find. Can't see it happening for me any time soon, though.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

OP'd £100 today.
total for month £500, total for year £1000 :j
Hoping to get a bonus this month from work. It will only be a couple of hundred but I might use that to get the scratch done on my car.
In one hand out the other, but I wouldnt normally have it so that is helping my thinking. I am imagining I will have to put money towards it as there are a few scrathes on my car
Ctax next month will pay for the rest of the birthday weekend away rent. Again saving money going to something else but a birthday treat so allowed
Might actually go out this weekend with a friend so will need to put money aside for that.MFW 16 No 33

Thanks, am waiting for OneP to pay still £40 and waiting for a refund of £22 from or@nge for money they took out last month after I had cancelled with them.
So although I dont have that money yet I am already allowing myself to spend it haha.
Was looking at houses near me today and found a 4 bed one with garage and conservatory (the things I want!) but I would have to up my mortgage back to £90k  I change my mind all the time looking at houses, do I stay where I am and save up til I have enough money to move mortgage free and not like where I am (well maybe a bit harsh, the house is ok just want a garage and conservatory lol) or do I just move now and not waste time.
I know I am just wallowing and I will just stay here, (there is too much to do here right now to get it up for sale) but it would be nice.
My house is in a great location for the kids school (5 mins walk) and 10 mins walk into town, 7 mins drive to work. My bedroom is HUGE and so is the second bedroom. But we always want more dont we.MFW 16 No 33

I think a lot of us are like that with moving or staying. In the last week I've convinced myself I want to move and today I was seeing the sense of staying lol. Who knows what tomorrow will be.0

I'm exactly the same!! This house has got another thing I havent which might seem silly to some but when you dont have it and have a dog its a big thing... a side gate! Its detached.
The kids want to go and have a look so we are going to do the walk from school and see how lomg it takes, I think it would take 20 mins.MFW 16 No 33
