  • Just typed out loads and blooming lost it grrr.

I rec'd my Halifax letter to let me know how much I will be paying when I go to SVR and it went down a lot as they obviously still have the original end date. I rang them and put it back up of course.
My end date is AUG next year and I have saved £1100 as I couldnt op over the last few months which with another £70 added to it will take another TWO months off!!
Cannot wait to OP again, its like an addiction!

Have another £10 from Pine and so have £50 in amazon vouchers now to go towards a main xmas pressie. I am proper slacking this year as the kids are teenagers it is SO HARD to buy for them. I have no clue what to buy them, never mind family and friends.

Is there anyone in Norfolk that has already made the move that can give me pros and cons about living there?

    The coastlines.
    Some great market towns.
    Cost of living.

    Downside

    Takes ages to get anywhere
Jobs/Wages lower than other parts of the country.

    Good luck in your quest.
  • Finally got to £40 on onep but sadly back down to 0 to start all over again boooo.
Another £10 from pinec, have slacked a bit on the others and havent done any comps for a while.

Am also badly slacking on the xmas pressie front, I just cannot find any good deals at the moment. I have absolutely no clue what to get family and friends this year...help!!! I love buying for the kids but not other people. :(

  • Thanks guys,

As kids get older they are harder and more expensive to buy for. I have about 70% of my lads (or at least ordered) My daughter is fussy! But my family are even more awkward to buy for. I really havent a clue in the slightest.

Any idea what to get an 70 year old?

Luckily a lot of my adult friends are quite bookish so I usually buy them a set/collection from the Book Pe0ple, they often have some brilliant & super cheap selections.

I've started doing lots of mini hampers of Christmas treats as well - usually picking up nice xmas edibles at Aldee (they do some super tasty xmas chocs/biscuits etc).

N3xt have a huge clearance section on their website (I just came across it the other day), there might be something in there your daughter would like? (I daresay similar shops also have constant sale sections?) :)
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library
