Just had another look at my revised SS and it shows that the interest I would pay would be about £197 for the 12 months on SVR.

Standard OP £165 plus two other OPs £135 and £135 paid this month. Total for year so far £2190 (55% to target) :)

Only need another £63 to take my next month off, should be able to do that next month (even though I am supposed to be saving for a holiday abroad next year I am almost a year away from being mortgage free and its just so tempting to throw everything at it at the moment.

Have finally managed to knock another month off hooray!! Have just OP'd another £100 and took my mortgage value to under £13k :j
    MFED is now Aug 2016 - 15 months :D
I need another £815 to knock another month off :( but I think I am getting very very close to my 10% limit and my fixed term finishes end of Aug this year. I might have to just put the OPs to one side until the term finishes and then do a bulk OP in Sept. (or just put it towards the holiday!) but Ive got the bug again for Oping everything

£6.72 tilly tidy done this morn.
Payday next thurs and have about 6 weeks back pay of extra hours Ive done plus 1.5% payrise (woohoo - sarky! I bet the higher up directors got a better rise than that as well as their bonuses!)

As you all prob see I go through stages of keeping my diary up to date. There is not much to really tell, I keep plodding along, kids get more expensive the older they get.

Am trying to look for somewhere cheap or free to go with the kids this weekend if the weather is kind.

I also really need to declutter my lounge/diner as it is getting me down. I want to take out all the stuff from the cupboards and toybox and either donate or chuck. They stuff inside just sits there not being used while I have other stuff all over the place (I hope I am not alone here lol) And I want to paint my cupboards and give the place a new look. My fireplace is brick and I am contemplating painting that too! Not sure if I am brave enough or not.

Basically, you ask 'what do I want to keep' rather than 'what do I want to throw away', keep only what gives you joy, thank the items you get rid of, fold your knickers and your drawers will be a joy to behold :D.

Seriously, worth having a good read at it :T.

oh wow that konmari method looks great, I really need to sort out EVERY bit of space in my house, I feel like a closet hoarder (no pun intended lol) I watched a load of videos about it yesterday. Definitely going to fold my pants and socks lol

'I'll just keep that in case I ever need it!'
'Can't throw that away, it will be useful for something'
'You watch, if i throw this away, I'll then need it and regret it'

Ermm need to change my mindset I think. I have a chest of drawers that I literally only use the top two small drawers for underwear and the rest is full of clothes I never even look at really. I have two wardrobes and only use a qtr of the clothes in them.

I have 3 pieces of furniture in my lounge full of stuff (mostly toys/games) that never see the light of day, drawers just ful of useless junk for no reason, as well as an alcove in the upstairs hallway full of games. See a pattern forming here! kids stuff everywhere.

I am procrastinating tho as it is such a big job to start and it will take months to go through each room, but the kids will follow me adding the stuff back no doubt!
Can you be minimalistic with 2 teenage kids at home and a dog??

Good luck with the decluttering. I am also a hoarder despite my best intentions.
