Sorry haven't posted on here for a while, don't want to put too much on here for fear of eagle eyed nosey parkers!

Very well done on making the extra payment. Have you suffered from being 'outed' on here in the past? You have got me worried!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Yeah I had a thread before since I started this seven years ago and family members saw what I was OPing and thought it there business to moan about it after they found me on here a few years ago. I keep a lower profile these daysMFW 16 No 33

Hi all, (shyly steps out of the shadows
)
Have been dwindling along still in the background.
Am looking into what is going to happen from Sept when my fixed rate of 2.69% finishes and I end up on the 3.5% SVR. At the moment I will only have 13 months left from Sept (MFED at mo is 1/9/16) and so I wont be able to do a fixed rate anywhere I dont think. I will definitely take another month off my end date before this Sept (need another £350 to take off another month) So I will in effect have 12 months left
I think (if my SS is correct) and I OP the £350 over next few months my payment will go up by about £48 when it moves to SVR in Sept.
Is there any other options? Or is it just a case of having to go on SVR and put up with it?MFW 16 No 33

Hi norfolkdream. Just 12 months, that's amazing! I miss your regular posts so it's good to see that you are almost there. I'm not sure what other options you have for this last year of your mortgage. At least interest would be minimal anyway?
Maybe some more knowledgable MFW's will have some better advice.
Do continue to pop in!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
If I was you I'd investigate whether you can pay the mortgage by credit card - if so, apply for a 0% finance one and get it cleared :T (she says, realising she has a 0% card in her wallet.......... :doh:)A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
