Hi all, hope you can help.
I am buying a cooker. I have the model chosen. It is manufactured in holland and has one importer to the uk.
The uk supplier has quoted £4400 plus vat.
A Dutch shop has offered it to me at £2800 plus tax (21%)
I have checked and the models are EXACTLY the same.
Obviously there is a huge saving, and I travel to Europe so can pick it up.
My question is really about post purchase support and negotiation points.
Is the uk supplier obliged to support the oven if not bought from them? How does the single market work on this? Clearly the price differential is huge!
