Tesco announce 4G at no extra cost!

Not all customers; prepaid customers won't get it.
Good point. Thanks for that. Have edited the title.
Prepay customers are always last for everything. Even only recently did EE even consider pre pay for 4G. Vodafone don't even offer a prepay 4G plan.
Three are the only ones who are taking on 4G prepay customers from launch and that's at no extra cost as well which is great.0 -

I think in this case O2 would rather under promise and over deliver. Rather than over promise and under deliver. All networks have faced issues with their 4G roll out so they wouldn't want to boast too much about 4G coming to a town/city when that eventually gets delayed by 10 years

Fully understand what you are saying - Thanks0 -
Strictly speaking they are different. Prepaid means that you pay charges before using the service, as opposed to postpaid when you pay in arrears. Pay-as-you-go means that you pay only for what you use, i.e. no need to buy bundles. Examples of postpaid pay-as-you-go are many corporate tariffs offered to large companies where the line rental is very low or zero and users pay only for what they use in arrears. Three is a genuine example of prepaid pay-as-you-go. However, many people, including the networks themselves, say "pay-as-you-go" to mean prepaid. Is prepay the same as PAYG?0 -
Apparently,Tesco will offer 4g to payg customers too "in the coming weeks".0

It's not just about 4g though, the rest of the allowance is generous too, I pay £21 on O2 for 600 mins 1000txt and unlimited data (although I use less than 200mb a month nowadays) , but the Tesco deal is perhaps less than half the price of O2 (at present) .
True but as I said in my first reply this £10 deal is no use to me as I use a lot more data than the 1Gb included.
I used to be with Tesco and think they are a very good network but I needed more data and they were unable to offer me a decent package.0 -
Surely 3 offered this before Tesco?0

Will we have to ring Tesco to get this activated or will we get upgraded automatically???0
