Darn it. Picked up some food today from !celand and mushies from tacto, all accounted for from the house budget (seem to have done lots of little food shops this month, but have in fairness used lots from the freezer) then got scuppered for £2.39 for something OH asked me to pick up. Could've got it tomorrow as I was thinking of getting veg for a curry from the market. Hey oh, guess the veg can perhaps wait a day or so.

And today takes me to NSD #10 :)

That gives me 9 more days in the month to get 5 more to meet target. Question is, can I make those and start to claw back the 5 I missed out on last month?

  • Made it to NSD #7 today after emergency fast food tea yesterday. I was at school until 7 though last night preparing for inspection otherwise would gave been NSD yesterday too. In order to save money I have also cancelled gym membership and Lovefilm this week so almost cancels out yesterday's spend!

woooooo hoooooooo!!!!! Didn't see that one coming :D DS2 had a fantastic birthday yesterday, we're all shattered snotty and it's wet and miserable out so planning a sofa and Netflix day (certainly getting our money's worth this month). Children aren't the slightest bit bored due to lots of lovely new toys, DD1 is loving the time to read and have a long lie in and DS1 has absconded to Nanny's house to eat her out of house and home and kill zombies uninterrupted with his uncle.

And me? For the first time in about 3 years I've had no emails, texts or calls from work when I'm on annual leave and I'm loving every moment of having time to simply please myself :) Think I might paint my nails later...and maybe even get dressed! ;)

I hope you are all having a good week too and I'll hopefully be back later to report my 12th NSD for today :)

  • Hello all!
Hope everyone is well! I'm still slightly battling with "the cold that will not go" that I've had nearly 2 weeks now. It's never got very bad, luckily, but enough to annoy me. That being said, I am feeling a bit clearer today, so fingers crossed it's finally on the way out.

It's half term around here for me, but still keeping busy with school work!
I'm having a day in front of the computer today to get some planning done, with the hope that I might be able to have a cheeky day off tomorrow. I'm meeting with a friend for coffee in the morning, then planning to go and get a haircut. It's badly needed doing for weeks!

Today is a NSD for me (I'll declare properly later). Yesterday was a bit of a naughty spendy day. I went to Starbucks for a treat, then ended up having a wander round the retail park. Ended up with new trainers (which I did need, but hadn't planned to buy just yet!), 2 new microwaveable saucepans (the cheapy Argos ones I buy for re-heating canned stuff end up splitting quite quickly - hopefully these thicker Home Sense ones will do better), and season 3 of 'Game Of Thrones'... £25, but I will very much enjoy watching... and it's only about £2 an episode... Still a bit naughty though!
Do love a good box set though... and find that if you don't buy the ones you want in that first week or three of release, they are much more expensive to buy later.

Anyway, I've had my coffee, so going to do a bit more work before lunch! Catch you all later for a proper declare of my total so far.
Because it's fun to have money!

    £68.35/£70 July GC
    January-June 2019 = £356.94/£420

    I've had a bad week this week :( Stupid Mid-term break:mad:
I am claiming my 11th NSD today though as I refuse to cross the door and spend any money!:o
The only thing in my mind that I keep reminding myself of is that I actually managed to meet my target for the month, and that this has been my first time ever doing thins challenge so I know I can do it........... when mid-term break doesn't fall smack in the middle of the challenge!
