Hi all,
Grocery shopping done to list and £14 under budget, I'm getting rather good at this even if I do say so myself!
No other spends (apart from a big CC overpayment) so here's NSD 9 spend day tomorrow as I need stamps, cards for DS2's birthday and the cake he wants. But it'll be a short trip out as I have a heating engineer coming out and the annual letting agent inspection.
Still on track to hit my target and very happy

Few odds and sods bought today, to keep the resident gannets from starvation. And tomorrow will purchase a few drops of petroleum just to be absolutely sure I can get to work and back between now and payday.
We have just had our IVA annual revew, and the monthly payment has gone up (Booger! but not unexpected). We have fairly generous allowances for different categories of spending, so I have worked out a tight budget which means I can start an emergency fund account for those unexpected things like dishwashers breaking down, or burst tyres etc. The allowed amount for food shopping is slightly under what we have been spending, so I need to tighten up there. Meal planning and making stuff from scratch really does help, and I really must shift my arris to the big shops in the early evening, when the best reductions happen - anything to stock up the freezer.
The good thing is there isn't long to go - as my signature says, my debt free date is now August next year. Then I will use the amount I would normally pay into the IVA to pay extra off the mortgage each month, and boost savings - and no way Pedro are OH and I going to get back into the spendthrift ways of yore! Once you start frugalling, it's difficult to get out of the habit. Or as my OH would say, once a tightarris, always a tightarris.....One life - your life - live it!0 -

Nothing out of the bank today, but took a trip to Costc0 - so not an NSD by any stretch of the imagination
Also nipped into Mr A for 1 thing (and came out with 6), then filled the car with liquid gold (for the first time this year, so I can't grumble too much at that one)
Now have loads of mince and stewing steak in the freezer, and bacon still to pack and put in (I don't eat it apart from in a lentil and bacon soup or carbonara, but DS1 likes a bacon butty now and again - so I'll be splitting the packs of 6 rashers into baggies of 2 before they go in).Cheryl0
