thats 4 in a row my elusive No. 5 is one step away, not plannning out with my purse tomorrow so am hoping nothing raises its head thats means a spend

have had workmen here with a digger at house today whilst i was at work as drainage at my cottage is something to be desired
have a lot of water standing that pours of the fields ( but nowt compared to the footage i see on the news ) so i am hoping with new ditches dug and new pipes put in my ground will be drier and no longer causing potential damage

heavens knows what the bill will be but am hoping its not too:eek::eek:

i'll hopefully get to speak to him tomorrow as i have a 3 feet deep hole in the back of the cottage at the moment so am sure he'll be back to fill it in ....

keep tight reign on those purse strings folks
    JD xx

    Right.Purse is now firmly shut.
Bought lots on no-leaky shoes yesterday, and even more on a noo 'puter today.
Enough is enough-there is food in the fridge, fruit in the fruit bowl, nothing needing for school. Can't see a need for money at least until Thur.

Other than putting in your WiFi password, there really shouldn't be anything to do to set it up.... a laptop is one of the ultimate 'plug and go' pieces of kit.

Thanks CW.I am not very computer-savvy.No,correction-I am not computer-savvy,full-stop.Anytime I have bought a laptop, previously I have paid about £20-after knocking them down from about £40 ,to have installed all the "stuff" that goes on computers:anti-virus ware,Windows,Outlook, etc.

I did try to be more money-saving when I was spending lots of money today:went to Morrisons to buy a Currys gift card to cover the value of the computer,to take advantage of the Morrisons money-off fuel deal,as promoted on this site.
I don't know if it is a new thing or not,but when I couldn't find any Currys gift-cards,in amonst the thousands they had instock, the assistant manager said they don't stock Curry's giftcards anymore-they have replaced them with Argos cards !!!!!?????Huh??
So I don't know if Currys or Morrison has pulled out of the deal-I would have saved 40p/litre on fuel, which would have come in handy.
Still.....off to weld my purse shut now, haha.(Still don't seem to be able to do smilies!)
