  • Room sizes and layout would be very useful when renting. Often the photos are sparse or taken from very unusual angles. Often just focussing on one odd thing in the room. Unlike buying you usually get a 5 minute appointment where you get rushed around and are then expected to make a decision. Good EAs will give you time to think but often claim others are also interested. Looking at layout in advance would give you a chance to work out if the house is suitable rather than relying on a quick glance.

I have just seen a photo of the end of a tap followed by a close up on the handles on some double doors I think the estate agent was on something!

Definitely agree with the floorplans. Also I'd like them to say what the service charge and ground rent is with flats.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I want Broadband speed please. It would be a deal breaker for me.

Floorplan and garden size for every property is what I'd like to see.......

It would take about 2 minutes to draw a red line around the property boundary on an aerial shot, but this happens once in a blue moon.

Ah, but if they did that, all the houses with north facing or otherwise awkward gardens and aspects would show up, wouldn't they?

Let's face it, they don't work for us, and someone has to buy the lemons.

The feature I would like to see implemented to all the property sites is a "don't show me this property again" tick box.

Definitely!!!! One of my pet hates that this isn't an option!

    Think PropertyWizza does that

The EPC will give the floor area, the only practical use have I found for an EPC.
But you can't always trust what the EPC says. We have a house that used to be 98 sq m and has inexplicably shrunk to 70sqm according to the most recent EPC... as well as the new assessor assuming that the loft insulation (observed & noted by the previous assessor) didn't exist!

    Reception rooms!!!!

For some people it's just as important as bedrooms. We've been looking for a 5 bed, 3 reception room house for ages, and keep finding 4+3 and they call one of the reception rooms a bedroom (to get it into the 5 bedroom searches no doubt) or 5+2, even 5+1!

Rightmove does now do broadband speeds - there's a link on the right hand side to check it.

Council tax indicator would be useful too.

And sold history, like Zoopla does.
  • I think floorplan and floorspace is a necessity.

Also to be able to exclude park homes, and those only available for holiday use, and listed properties.
