Possibly specific to the area I'm looking, but I wish they didn't class mobile/park homes as houses. I don't mind if I get a terrace, semi detached or detached house, even interested in flats, but I don't want a glorified caravan! There are 15 properties in my price range in the area I am looking, and only 1 is a proper, bricks-and-mortar house.

I would like a garden filter with sizes, often the garden is an afterthought with either a crappy pic or a one line description of outside space when for me the garden is in one of my top 3 requirements. Would also be great if they placed the google street view in the right flaming place, rarely it is.

    Property Bee integrated.

Floor area also very useful and agree with flora48 that it is the only practical use for the EPC.

    Floorplan an essential.
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

  • Floorplan and garden size for every property is what I'd like to see.......

I would also like a keyword search facility, for example using the word *thatched* - although having bought a thatched house last time it's something I won't be choosing next time, lol!

We prefer older, period houses but when using the *character* search on RM it appears that many are not actually character properties at all whilst many that are don't come up under this search :o

i think you should be able to filter the houses by the decade they were built in......I'm thinking of moving, but I only want to move to a Victorian house so this option would be ideal

if anyone knows of a site that does allow this and shows properties in Scotland, please let me know!

The EPC will give the floor area, the only practical use have I found for an EPC.

Other uses being able to carry out a comparison on estimated energy usage and costs on a home before choosing to buy or rent a property......

An EPC filter on Rightmove would be very useful, I have a number of buy-to-lets and tenants constantly complain about the cost of heating the properties apart from the one who lives in a B rated property because the heating costs are so low.

I feel the costs of occupation it is a very important consideration for people today and any future buy-to-lets I buy I will make a very conscious effort to buy a property with as high a EPC rating as possible so I have happier tenants which stay longer decrease my void periods and increase my returns and the future capital value of my properties :)

I'd really like a bathroom filter - ie I am after a 3 bed with at least 2 bathrooms (or at least 2 loos). No one seems to offer this.

If the smallest 'bedroom' didn't fit a bed then would you view it?

There are houses near us where the third bedroom can fit a bed in one way only, and if you want any other furniture in there then you have to ake the door off or hang it the wrong way round.

Or narrow kitchens that aren't wide enough to open a dishwasher..

You probably wouldn't if using a bedroom as a bedroom was important to you,or if really wanted a dishwasher.

It'd make houses harder to sell.

I think they should state how far the house is from its neighbour .. Sme of these modern detached are insanely close to each other.

I would like to filter out the houses where the estate agent is too lazy to get decent photographs, really, really winds me up.
