Nearly there, don't let the
get you now.
Despite this being a short month it seems to drag on. Today should be another SFD. Went to Tesco yesterday and it must've been voucher/coupon day. Everybody was armed with a load of vouchers and the cashiers didn't look happy. Got my £32 shop for £14. Half way through my bank switch so the £100 should appear soon. Otherwise not much to report and I don't want to bother you with a end of pregnancy moan.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

No they know they're coming to help demolish! Like me they enjoy this kind of stuff so it will be fun. And I will be feeding them all weekend and probably shouting them lunch on the Saturday. Between the three of us we are blonde, brunette and redhead, so will be a bit like Charle's Angles in PPE!
Another SFD yesterday, although I had expenses but I don't count these. Hoping for another today but we'll see how we go.

Under zombie attack :eek:- DH's car has failed MOT - it needs wishbones, shockers and some other bits with the MOT services parts labour and VAT we are talking £900. Spent the last 16 hours deciding do we fix the car of dip into our stampduty house moving pot and replace car..... Have decided to fix it - with a view to replacing it this summer with 6 months MOT still on it. If we replace it now it would mean taking house off the market when we are coming into "viewing season" dont want to touch finance and loans a) because having finally reaching DF I'm very anti going back there even for controlled purchases and b) because it would then hit our mortgage multiples for the new house if we ever sell ours. They dont teach you this stuff in school do they!!
Anyways - hoping for a sfd today - we had a day out with friends yesterday which was fab and cost £22.30 for all 4 of us - naughty chinese takeaway when we got home. Tickets courtesy of tescos and we took picnicso not all bad - and we didnt go out to the pub for dinners so could have been worse - will stop justifying now
Right work to do - DS building a massive train track, DD doing her homework, time to crack on myself!
Love to all

Yesterday wasn't a SFD as I bought a gift for someone and some icecream at the cinemaGot overcharged for it too, so have to complain when I'm there the next time - I thought the price was wrong but the girl insisted it was. It was only when I checked at home I realised the error
I'm declaring a SFD today as I don't need milk/bread and have no plans to hit any shops tonight. I will be spending tomorrow (work night out, although I'm on soft drinks as I have Fat Club on Saturday) and on Saturday as I have dinner/drinks with friends. Sunday should be SFD #11 if I plan things well.
I've added on my exercise for today as I'm about to head out for a walk around the gardens at work and will walk home if it's not raining. I remembered my LTW today - nowt exciting as just ham sandwiches, but they should keep me full until teatime.0 -
Sorry to hear about your DHs car LAGL. We are facing a similar prospect in the next couple of months. Last year OH got an old banger car as we couldn't afford anything better as previously he had had a company car but had changed jobs. I had been driving him to and from work and sharing a car was not working. His car will not pass its MOT, I have not idea how it passed before we bought it, there are holes in it, the electrics are dodgy, the exhaust is falling off etc etc. We are going to need to get another car and the only way we have the money to do that is to put it on my ccard and then he will have to pay it off. Luckily my ccard is 0% until June but this is going to be a push for him on his current wage. Thinking max spend of £1000 with the aim that the car will last at least 2 years.
Quick update on progress so far (you may notice I'm bored today by the amount of posts I am making!!)

Inspired by Kat on fbook I decided to pay another 52 pounds off my debt today. Slowly but surely gonna kill this monster cloud lurking over my head.
Spendy day today needed face cream.had to pay for funeral flowers so may pop and get milk/salad stuff on way home seeing lost a nsd.
Went for a free eye test today, need to get glasses, sent for samples of four frames from glasses direct. Think trying them on at home would be so much nicer. Free service as long as they are returned in 7 days.
Will catch up reading later on, went to pics last night and ended up in the front row it was that full, so eyes sore today and sure I was getting motion sickness it was that close to the screen lol.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Oh no, too late, its already in!
I don't know how big the washing machine is but its a king size summer duvet. I'm sat watching it, just in case. Its been in the wash basket since last summer and has been driving me crazy. Fingers crossedLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

I wash big duvets in the bath. Half fill bath, sprinkle with soap powder. Sink the duvet.leave to soak.Trample up and down on it,barefoot, every now and then. Let water go. Pile up duvet,trample/squeeze to get rid of as much water as possible (if you have young children they might do the trampling bit (as long as they understand not to throw their own in every time they have a bath). Put clean water in to rinse and repeat.Usually heavy very even when you have got as much water as possible out.Can help to put it in alarge kitchen bin or similar as you carry it downstairs.
If your machine fills with water and then won't turn because of the weight use proper procedure for ending programme and opening door. pull it out slowly into a laundry basket (large storage/toybox) Get it outside and over the line(get someone to help if its really heavy). If you have two parallel lines, get it over both.Once it's over you can spread it out. If machine has started it will be full of soapy water. I'd leave it out to get rained on (rinsed) a couple of times but if you haven't time let water run out of it then pour clean water from the top.
If you don't have access to outside space,I'd suggest putting and airer (or2) in the bath and draping it over that.
Good luck.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Thank you mothernerd
Luckily, it came out washed and the washing machine seems to be fine (fingers crossed). It was a very light duvet, thankfully.
Today has been quite productive

Not a SFD, due to the top up shop and paid for upfront instalment of the reduced car insurance (about 35% cheaper than last year). Exercise done and decluttering done. The only thing I haven't achieved is the hoovering, which isn't too badLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
