Just finished catching up with the thread; wow, so many posts!
Had a spendy day on Saturday as it was a friend’s birthday. I was just going to have a day in yesterday and have a big declutter and tidy up but after a week of rain it was a glorious sunny day so I had to get out in it! :j Ended up walking at the coast and covered 12 miles! I walked past three chip shops and didn’t go in any of them which is real progress! :rotfl: One NSD chalked up 14 plus to go, hopefully!0 -
1/22 SFD’s.
£36/£180
£0/£5 local food bank.
Aiming to put £500 into savings account.
1/12 fitness sessions
1/2 Outing
Only spent £36 on weekly shop (was more a top up shop really) and £20 of that was on the kitties!
Walked dog for mum on Saturday to give her a break from walking him in the rain.
£20 for a taxi home from mum's (eek!) but we came away with 2/3 of a bottle of wine and 3 portions of leftover curry
Market shop today, ordered a friend's birthday pressie too so shouldn't need to spend again this week apart from trip to PAH for kitty biccies (those cats are beginning to cost me a fortune:rotfl:)0 -
Hi all, having a SFD today as home with poorly girls. Also feeling blah so not feeling up to much cleaning or decluttering though am making plans. Mostly baby's stuff to be cleared away but I won't do anything about those things until bubba has outgrown enough to warrant an eBay session.
Won't do any exercise or cooking today, something mysterious has been pulled from the freezer and that's what we will have. Note to self - label food placed in the freezer!!
All DDs have gone out, this month I've made a £ 100 payment to the overdraft, hoping to see this amount paid in monthly until June (will review at that point). Also making overpayments to CCs which are my other focus but not had much to through at it this month. I'll be in a better position from March hopefully.
Anyway, rambling now so will sign off! Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!

Morning!
SFD 3 here, walked to school, been to toddler group with DS, and paid in some money from his birthday into his savings account.
Since I've been home I have made dough for a white loaf and some onion and poppy seed bread as my contribution to lunch at my friends tomorrow, I do it every week as I like to try out new things and they love testing them!
I've made my own bread since November 2012, I made it by hand until Jan 2013 when I got a cheap stand mixer with some Christmas money. Within 6 months it stopped working and because it was still under warranty the company sent me a replacement, that one didn't work at all so t!hey sent me another, that is now on it's last legs because I use it so much and the dough hook won't come off so I will be using some of my work bonus for a kenwood chef cos I know that will last!
(I can't knead by hand for long as I suffer from carpel tunnel syndome and it flares up when kneading)
You cannot beat homemade bread and it makes such a huge difference to our diet, I do like to know what is in my food so I make a lot from scratch. I do think a kenwood chef would be a real asset to the house as I will be able to make all sorts of things.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
....... so I will be using some of my work bonus for a kenwood chef cos I know that will last!
My Mum has had her Kenwood for nearly 30 years! It's an old skool version and I hope to inherit it!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

Spent £4.42 this morning on few bits and bobs. Tea is some of the pie lo from yesterday and will make some bread tomorrow so as to hopefully prevent another spending day. Been to the library as well and have plenty to keep me occupied for a while. (I don't sleep that well so lie in bed resting and reading)
