  • So, here we go!

Reduced food budget by £10 and fuel by the same amount
, as I could more see how to make savings with that one! Food is now at £60 for the month, myself and DD (half of the time), and I'd like for more than half of that to be on fruit and veg as I really missed that this month. I think to achieve the fuel budget I'll need to be on my bike (once healed) so that will be a bit of an incentive for the exercise too. Its all connected!

Looking forward to eating up all that rice, and another month of soup ahead!

    Best of luck everyone!

  • Thanks NSK.
I successfully completed the Dec. challenge but January was not good.
This challenge is just what I need.
Today I'm going to have a good look in the freezer and make a list of what I can cook from what's in there. Back to basics and doing what I know is the right way forward for me.
    Thanks for adding me.

yesterday I checked freezers, cupboards etc for what I already have in and made a list for my big shop using mysupermarket. So all set to go out today and hit 4 supermarkets in one day for my big shop. I've done this for a few months now and although it takes all day it's worth it. I am lucky that although we are fairly rural all the big supermarkets are within a 10mile radius so easy to do. Takes a bit of planning though the day before!!

    Morning all!

Well one of my welcomes to February is that the living room T.V has packed up  I've been looking for a new one and it's alll changed since the last time I needed one-3D this and smart that. I just want one that shows a picture, when you plug it in,lol :D So, already, that will be a spend on my everyday CC next month :( Oh well, it could be worse, lol.

4sda shop coming today and I don't expect to have a spend day as the most I may do, is take the little fella to the park.Oh, I have booked a little treat for me and the little fella-a £20.00 room at Denham Grove Devere hotel for the easter holidays :D I don't really go out, so this is paid for with my entertainment budget :)

Well have a fab weekend everyone and keep going :T:T

  • Arrrgh I hate february, moving back in with my parents, higher fuel costs, no freezer/storecupboard. I can't fully set my budgets yet, Mum was mutteeing about charging me to stay at hers so...
Fuel-£200 (this may not be enough but i'll try)
    Smokes-£30
    Food&Parking-£40

I went qway over my food budget in the last week, so this month am withdrawing a tenner a week to cover food and parking for church.

Good morning folks and happy February ;)

I'm looking forward to this challenge although I have a few things going on which will make getting SFDs difficult - the first being that my parents are in town this weekend which normally leads to dinners and coffees. I don't mind though as I don't see them very often as they live MILES away.

So, a spendy day planned for me already today. I want a new set of kitchen scales (exciting!) and promised myself that I could have them if I came in under my weekly budget for last week - which I did despite having three nights out in that time.

I need to pick up some bananas today as well, so will hit the supermarkets on my way back from Fat Club. I'm using this challenge to try and keep on top of the massive amount of stuff in my freezer that I'm not using. I will only buy meat this month if it is yellow stickered AND a really good buy.

My meal plan for next week is all done and I'm already looking forward to some of it!
