No worries, happy to help out a fellow challenger.

I'm not that superstitious anymore. I used to be a magpie counter type but I've stopped in the past year or so. Could it be these challenges have made me realise that you make your own luck through hard work and general attitude. Could be . . . ;)

Billie-Jo am I not right in thinking that foods were tinned especially to keep them fresh back in the late 1930's and they are the ideal post-apocalyptic stash requirement suggested by all good prepping sites..? I say open it. Outside. Then try some. QUOTE]

If I am not mistaken apocalypse originally meant ‘to reveal’ something and in later years more generally meant ‘the end of the world’ I am sure if I opened this tin - which I will NOT be doing - then the putrid, rancid, festering contents would be a revelation and could also cause the end of the world. Lol
Tins are a great stashing away item for sure but perhaps not quite stashed away for such a great length of time.
Have to say though am curious to know how it looks inside and maybe one day I may call the bomb disposal team in to open it.
