Just the two of us - I'm a pile mover, I need to refrain for the living room, simply nowhere to move it to. Piles got thrown from the bedroom

My DD1 is getting closer to AF dreading it.

Finished cleaning the sides, cleaned the sink, put the food away, now feeding Tiny.

I'm with you all on moving piles but this is the key to success, it is a waste of time to keep moving it. Better to deal with a small pile of it once and for all - try putting it somewhere you walk past a lot and take the top item every time you go past and deal with it.

All my daily tasks one so I'm going to eat a couple of frogs next, the dining room will get finished this week.

I've swept and washed kitchen floor and hung out the washing. Tiny is bouncing in the jumperoo for now.
Next job is to choose a side of the room to start from and pick a small area.

    Afternoon all.

I've not achieved much this morning as I've had a soak in a hot bath around helping DD with her homework. I then cleaned the bath/sink and I'll do the toilet later when we've been to Mr As and bought a new bog brush :D DD is almost done with her homework and I'll be putting a third load in the washing machine in a few minutes. I've currently got all the windows wide open letting the cold but dry air into the house :D

Plan for rest of the day:
    WM x3
Ironing (DD has asked to do this)
Write shopping list / Mr A shop
Make sandwiches for the weeks packed lunches
    Meal plan.

I'm off to do something with my now cold breakfast. I was only meant to be unblocking some websites for DD and I got distracted on here :o

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • I have had a rubbish morning!!!

Thanks for the support with the "piles" everyone. I think the main problem is I have so much going on I need a separate box or pile for each activity and I also keep sentimental stuff!!!

Every time I start to clear it I get rid of a load of gibble - there is just so much of it and it is hard to get through with my health issues too.

At least now it is almost all in one place!!!

Just decluttering a coffee and I shall begin!!! - promise. xx

Ionafan, I thought the flymeet was on Sunday, has it changed to Saturday now? Sorry if I've missed a post about it.

Correction and huge apology for the confusion - yes, it was a moment of mental aberration!
The fly meet is on SUNDAY

it's not a good idea to write important messages when I've got my mind full of other things :o

Very sorry that you aren't able to come after all, pigpen. There will definitely be another opportunity to meet up sometime.

I've folded some of the ironing pile that is taking over an armchair. Found the big sofa and arranged pillows, watered a dead plant (it will survive), pruned another, sent two work emails. Tried to see if Tiny's second hand walkercan be saved - it can't, it will go out a bit later as there is someone building something at the end of the landing.
I def work better in 15 min bursts.

I'm sure there's pigeons a-plenty in York! :rotfl:

Sunday is good for us, we need to be home for 5 but that's plenty of time. I'm thinking I'll drive to a park and ride and we'll get the shuttle bus to the NRM. I think I'll bring the pushchair even though my two will fight over it... and packed lunches too!

Aww, DD's blind has come for her room. It's lovely! I got her this one.

I might pop up to town to get some helium balloons :D

Not much happened in last burst, decluttered a slice of pizza, shuffled some bits, lit some scented candles; living room is looking better already but its all the cupboard and shelves and toys that will be a problem in the week.
Hope you all have a fab time on Sunday, not brave enough for that yet.

So do I today! As well as the sitting room and kitchen, ironing, paperwork n RnR are being decluttered in 15 min bursts.

Bit late, but hope Masters Moo and Lil_Me have happy birthdays!
