How do you chill out on a Sunday evening?

If we don't have my OH's 2 DD's then we usually visit our local so he can have a couple of beers, tho I very rarely - never drink on a Sunday, so I stick to the diet cokes.
Then we go up the road, stick a nice dinner on, sometimes a roast, have a quick power tidy up of the house, then usually chill out with a film.0 -
It depends what we have done in the day time (or havent)
Normally its just cuddle up on the sofa with a drink and nibbles and watch a film or rubbish TV. Sometimes its the cinema or its down to Heathrow for me to go to get to one of our other offices for Monday morning in which case its pretty much the same as at home but in the airport lounge rather our lounge0 -
Roast for our family. I then go and visit my grandmother from 7-9, my grandfather passed away last year so I like to give her some company in the evening. We usually watch the tv, I then head home and make sure all lunches etc are organised for the morning, and go to bed myself
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I love Sunday evenings. I am on "my chair" reading and he is on "his settee" doing his blog. The house is clean and tidy ready for another week. All is peaceful.0

My routine goes like this:
Dancing on Ice on in the background whilst cooking tea with OH and making Monday's lunch, eating tea, a couple of blogger chats on Twitter, Dancing on Ice results, The Musketeers, then bed. Pretty relaxed and a nice wind-down before Monday madness."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Despite hating the eve before Monday morning I do bloody love Sundays
Usually laze about all day or go for a drive with my girlfriend. Cook a lovely roast dinner, fill our faces, then fall into a food coma whilst watching a film with all the lights out.
Then she goes home, I get into a nice hot bath then bed. Bliss0 -
Washing, a nice lunch or dinner, maybe a wander round town, glass of wine and watch TV/play on laptop/read, trying to not think about the early alarm call Monday morning!0

Once the kids are asleep I run a hot bath with scented bubble bath or essential oils. Turn on music and light some candles and have a long relaxing soak. The I sit in bed with a glass of wine and a great book and read till I feel ready to drift off to sleep. I love Sunday evenings. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

This one, I'm glaring at the new broadband router that I can't get to work, whilst eating lentil soup so thick that the spoon stands up in it (the fella dropped off an emergency food parcel because I've just started work and I'm skint - got a telling off when he realised I've kept going for the last couple of weeks on mostly marmite on toast and biscuits at work - he went home and appeared back at the door about half an hour later with a bag of beans, lentils, tomato pur!e and a bunch of other high protein things).
Last Sunday I was out with one of my best mates at a gig and then a pub. Next weekend, I think DD is bringing some friends round. I [strike]may[/strike] will be hungover from a night out on Saturday, so I may hide out with the fella and his little girl instead.
At some point tonight, I should probably attack the ironing/putting away mountain as I can't even match my socks by thickness now. But I've also been writing - well, trying to write - songs that aren't all folky fingerpicking stuff, as that's all that I seem able to do.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
