How do you chill out on a Sunday evening?

  • I try and get all the chores, dinner, sarnie making etc done by 7pm and then tend to spend the evening faffing on the laptop and chatting to my other half.

To be honest I get a bit depressed sunday nights, the thought of work again and I always think I haven't achieved everything I wanted to at the weekend. Life can feel like a bit of a hamster wheel sometimes.
  • I just do anything from catching up on my penpal letters to sitting watching tv whilst doing my nails

I thought I was the only one that felt like this! I don't ever seem to do anything with my weekends either because my other half is away, it's near the end of the month or I'm too tired. I've got friends visiting next weekend though so that's something to look forward to, and of course it's pay day on Friday everyone! :)

Usually spend Sunday evenings crying about the thought of Monday morning...I really hate my job.

Oh dear - I know that feeling:o. I didn't used to cry, but I always felt very sick and churned up, and woke each Monday morning with diarrhea (sorry, tmi). Can you change job or give up and do temping for a while until something better comes along? Being that unhappy in your job is terrible, and a very high price to pay for whatever it is that's keeping you there (pension, high salary, maternity benefits or whatever).

I reckon we aren't the only ones that feel like this on a Sunday evening, oh to win the lottery and get off the hamster wheel huh!

Evening meal around 6. Washing up and catch up on the jobs I haven't done over the weekend then after ive made the packed lunches for the men I finally either sit down and watch telly or play on my computer.

My whole weekend from when I finish work on a friday through to Monday morning is 'chilling-time'.

See friends, phoning my brother, lunch out, shopping......

me too - my DD is nearly a teenager now, so apart from reminding her to do some homework and tidy her room (she doesn't do much of either during the week so she knows it has to be done at the weekend) my whole weekend is my own. If I want to slob out in pjs and eat leftovers on Sunday while watching Call the Midwife I can and I enjoy it :). Some weekends I feel very energised and I do loads, other weekends I don't, so I dont.

    I've had a pj day today :D.

I'm self employed and Sunday evenings are spent getting sales ready for packing and sending to the post office Monday. Mostly getting invoices printed off and finishing paperwork.
Although just finished for the night now, so may go and have an early night.

Gym, swim, jacuzzi with my OH then a nice dinner. Bit of tv and try not to fall asleep on the sofa.
  • I spend Sunday evening ironing for the week ahead. I rind it quite relaxing ironing and watching tv. My wife has a long soak in the tub so I get to watch my rubbish that I've recorded in the week previously! About 9.00ish we retreat to bed with a cup of horlicks and watch a movie! Nothing better than being in bed with my wife with our little girl fast asleep in her cot next to us!
