ww.truephone.com - excellent service you are provided a mobile number that shows as your outgoing number, incoming calls to this number are then diverted to any UK number for free, got it on the N95, superb programSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

I have a Nokia E65 and use Sipgate - mostly for incoming calls only. We have voip adapter linked to our broadband at home so we have incoming calls at home using a local number (01922). Same number then rings my mobile when I'm at work via wireless connection. So in therory I could be on holiday abroad and someone could ring our 01922 number and speak to me on the mobile providing I'm in a wireless hotspot.0

Links,
Can you explain how you went about this and what equipment you have? Do you need any special equipment to help the phone link up with the wifi network at home / at work or do you have any special software?
I presume that this could also work with my XDA Mini S which has wifi.0 -
Truphone rocks! I have it on my n80 and n95, apart from occasional dropouts (seems to depend how busy the broadband is) it is excellent. Call quality on par with mobiles/landline calls and their customer service is excellent.0

geraint83,
what I did was..
1) got account from sipgate.co.uk - costs nothing to register and gives you a personal local 01/02 number.
2) entered the voip account details on to my nokia E65 (as detailed on the help pages on sipgate.co.uk). When I'm at home or work I then just connect the E65 to the wireless broadband, the phone registers with the sipagte server and I get the incoming calls on my mobile.
3) at home, I have a voip adapter, LINKSYS PAP2-NA SIP ADAPTER, connected to the wireless router, and in turn a normal phone (happens to a cordless) connected to the adapter. I had to set up my voip account details on the adapter for it to register with the sipgate server.
You should be able to do steps 1) and 2) without cost so give it a try. Not sure whether you will need additional software for voip on your PDA though.

I set up both Sipgate and Voipstunt on my debranded Voda N95 and both worked. In case of Sipgate, simply create an wifi access point following N95 book to connect to your home wireless network. Then create the Sip/internet_phone settings following Sipgate's (very detailed) guide on E60/N80 in the Help area (I think you can only access this area if you have an account), using the access point you just created.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0

Hi
I've recently aquired an N95.
I notice using the internet on the phone is not exactly the same as on a computer. For instance, when trying to download a ringtone via a WAP site using the phone's browser, I got the message 'NOT SUPPORTED'.
Is there any applications related to the net I should download for a smoother surfing experence e.g.: something allowing me to view java, frames, popups, download things etc?0
