No ill effects so far :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Might try and eat the rest before Christmas though, so the date was at least in right year.

I'm pretty sure there's no actual FOOD in these things anyway :p

Still alive :D Might have another one tomorrow :D :rotfl:

Work's Christmas do reduced from £15 to £10 :money: Hoping that doesn't mean less tasty food  :rotfl:

Got notification of payment of an expenses claim for £36 today :j (not paid yet though) and put in another claim for nearly £100  I think I'll feel rich when I'm not shelling out for taxis etc all the time, even if I do get it back eventually!

 starnac! I won't be impressed if that's what they give us for christmas dinner!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Only one more day of fieldwork to claim for this year - was meant to be today but care home cancelled as they've been closed by infection control  Hoping to squeeze it in before christmas though...

That's it for this project though, so no more fieldwork til round about next June! :j

Hmm, scrap that :rotfl: TWO more days of fieldwork this year, but I also just found another set of train tickets to claim for - totalling £60 :j :j So together with the £95 I claimed yesterday, and the £36 that should be with me in the next day or two, that's almost £200

Next two fieldwork days should be pretty small, no more than £20 each I'd say (work will pay for trains in advance) so I'll be back relatively square with myself by the end of the year :j :j

(I know expenses isn't proper money, since I'm only getting back what I already paid out, but it FEELS like extra sometimes :rotfl: ) :D

    Is it hometime yet?!

You forgot about £60? :D Tsk!

It sounds like fieldwork is pretty hard going, actually, so I'm glad you've not got much more :)

Shocking isn't it?! It's only because I bought the train tickets about 2 months ago - and i wouldn't normally buy train tickets myself but these were for an event and i'm claiming from another university so it went out of my head! Scandalous :D

I know I moan a lot about fieldwork :o The people are lovely but it usually involves SO much planning in advance, at least 4 hours of travel, and an entire day of talking to people in quite difficult circumstances, and we just get the one day so can't miss anything. I'll be glad when it's all done!

FAR too excited about budgeting at the minute :o :rotfl: :rotfl: Spent hours last night reading the Mr Money Moustache website you suggested KC :o Keep fiddling with YNAB budget thing, have even created categories for the bits I throw in the small change jar and my £2 coin jar - have to recognise it comes from somewhere so I have to take it from another budget category :o :rotfl:

Unreasonably interested in checking bank account so I can press the little 'clear' button in the software and make it go green :o And i've found myself longing for the end of the month (again!!) so I can repopulate all my little budget squares :o :rotfl: :rotfl:

On the flip side i'm being REALLY careful about what I spend cos I can see it all laid out really simply - makes it much more obvious if I was to swipe the car insurance savings to spend on cake like i usually do :o:o

I suppose this is the place to confess to stuff like that! :rotfl: :rotfl:
