Tis indeed KC, well remembered! :) The last time I got a twelfth of a chapter :rotfl: This time I've got a whole chapter, buy with 2 co-authors, if that makes sense (we wrote the whole chapter together, rather than last time when 12 of us wrote completely separate bits).

Gosh, i don't even know if i'm making sense any more, should probably go to sleep :rotfl:

Got the plumber coming at 9.30 which i'm VERY excited about - except i realised that (a) i forgot to get the cash out for him, (b) i have done nothing to clear the space for him, (c) i stupidly arranged for someone to come and do my supervision for voluntary stuff i do at the same time as the plumber, (d) i haven't tidied a space for us to sit and do that either, and (e) where on earth is poor Mr Cheery going to go while all this activity is going on?! :rot

For goodness sake!! How does it even DO that?!? I'm typing perfectly normally then it starts putting random letters in strange places, then it freezes and looks like nothing is typing - but when I press publish (which is the only way to kake it unfreeze without losing the rest of the post) a load of gobbledegook appears!!

and if you look closely you can see that it's actually typed my 'stupid phone has gone weird' message (which i couldn't see on screen) BACKWARDS!!

    How?! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can only assume this is Martin's way of telling me to get off the phone and go to sleep :rotfl:

    night :hello:

Phone only seems to behave that way when I'm in bed :rotfl: Although it does misbehave in plenty of other ways the rest of the time - not been able to make a phone call in my own house for most of my 2 year contract  fortunately that's finished on 3rd Nov and I will be ringing for my PAC code at 9am!!

LOVING our new heating arrangements :j :j We now have 2 levers on the pipe at the top of the attic stairs. We can have the heating on without the hot water (which makes it a lot quicker) and, most importantly, the hot water on without the heating - which means that if we want a bath, it only takes 30 mins to warm up, not 2 hours of having the heating on :D

They also replaced some kind of little valve which was broken (for free!)

Water seems a lot hotter too, and comes out of the tap quicker :D

Not entirely sure why it took me so long to sort out :o best £100 we ever spent :D :j :j :j

Did the parkrun this morning, and now just scoffing second breakfast before going out for a bike ride with Mr Cheery :j

Nothing better than proper hot water to bathe in! So glad to hear you've solved a nagging problem - sounds like it feels absolutely wonderful to have it resolved!:D

Experienced my in-laws power shower over the weekend - I want one! - Our's comes straight from the boiler which means limited water before it gets too cold! If we decide to have two showers in a row it means the first person has to be considerate (usually me) which is hard to remember when half asleep!

    :hello: hi RT :)

We're fortunate that our shower is electric, so we've always been able to have a hot shower even when we can't do the washing up :D :rotfl:

Sadly all has not gone to plan... Tried switching just to the hot water on Friday night and there was an almighty frightening racket coming from the boiler and all the pipes, so we turned it off again in haste, at which point there was a huge THUNK in both the attic and the kitchen

So sadly I'm going to have to ring the plumber again. Hopefully it was just the water settling but I couldn't leave it on when it was making that noise, sounded like it was about to explode!!

So - scary phone calls for today include plumber and decorator to do outside windows. Tis never ending!

I'm sure I have some spends to declare from the weekend but right now have no idea what they are...

I love how :money: cares about each and every individual forumite ..... :rotfl:I feel your pain about the forum mangling your posts though. I managed to *spam* Pippi's thread (with multiple posts) this morning...... me..... spam...... Pippi :o I was so embarrassed when I saw what had happened :o :rotfl:

Oh no, to THUNK noises and unsettling boiler and pipe noises. Hope it's something simple and the plumber can sort it promptly for you :D

Oh Greying hope the forum is behaving for you now. When I am on my phone I find I end up pressing the SPAM button by accident instead of scrolling to the next post. I quite often have to press the UNSPAM button and hope no-one notices :o

Oh no! to THUNK noises. Hope it was just everything settling. Finger's crossed the plumber fixes it easily.

How was parkrun? We had pacers this week, pacing odd numbers from 19-39 minutes. It was fab. They are planning to do even numbers next month. Are you enjoying running for fun instead of "training" now?
