Thank you all!
Well it was a blithering long way!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Set off too fast and stuck with the 5 hrs 15 pacer group for the first 12 miles, at which point I had to admit that was far too fast for me...
Legs felt like they were disintegrating, I was craving food that wasn't fruit pastilles (nearly kissed a marshall at 20 miles who offered me an actual cheese butty)
Was aiming for 5 hours, cut off was 6 hours - I finally came in after 6.24 :rotfl: :rotfl: But I still got a medal, and that's still 30 mins off my previous time, and I actually sped up and overtook 5 people in the final mile, meaning there were still SIX people behind me when I finished:rotfl: :rotfl:
Not sure it was worth all that extra effort and will NOT be doing one EVER AGAIN - absolutely NOT.
Took me 2 hours to drive home and I had to stand in the street leaning on the car for quite a while before I could stand upright enough to walk to the house:rotfl: :rotfl:
Just about to have a well earned bath!0 -

Make that bath a long and deep one, you deserve it.:A:A:AThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Well done Cheery! But ow ow ow, that sounds painful - hope you managed to climb out of the bath before you fell asleep xxx2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thank you all, you lovely lot
Fortunately had yesterday off work and didn't do very much :rotfl: Been to the office today and while I've been a bit stiff after sitting for a while, I'm not too bad really :j (actually, not really jumping around like that...) :j :rotfl:
Realised I've not been updating spends though
Sat 4th
Drove to Mum's, bought diesel (from separate fuel budget) and grapes and snackajacks for journey, and lucozade for running = £5ish
Sun 5th
Marathon  £3 for parking, then nothing else - mum bought me a cuppa at the end and a nice lady in the cafe gave us all a free piece of cake(only cos she was closing and it was going in the bin!). I'd put £10 aside in an envelope for the marathon so I'm counting this as a NSD
:j
Mon 5th
Stayed in bed for a while...:rotfl: Then met a pal for a cuppa, so spent £4 on tea and cake
Spent £10 at slimming world  and PUT ON 3lbs  Then went out for a curry
:rotfl: which the treats budget paid for
Tues 5th
Tried to make lunch this morning (couldn't be bothered last night...) but couldn't find the curry powder at 6.30am so abandoned it and paid £4 for salad etc from M&S at the train station. Naughty MSE-er (but I think forgiven today given the circumstances...). Spent £4 on grapes and cheese
Plans for the rest of the week...
Wed - at work, Mr Cheery made a tasty risotto so I'll be taking that tomorrow - other than that should be a NSD :j
Thurs =- fieldwork, travel paid for (or claimable) and I'll take food with me - NSD
Fri - out with a pal for the afternoon, have put £10 in an envelope so unless it goes over that I'm counting it as a NSD
Sat - flute choir (money in envelope - love the lovely envelope system)
Sun - no plans (but probably not NSD...)
Not toooooooo bad!
Right, off to curl up on the sofa with a hot water bottle0 -
As for " PUT ON 3lbs" of course you did! Your muscles were busy repairing themselves. Plus all the lactic acid that was floating around (does lactic acid "float") and some water retention. That weigh absolutely did not count! And I personally think your consultant should have told you that xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Didn't stop for long enough to talk to the consultant :rotfl: :rotfl: And they're very much of the 'exercise doesn't make any difference to your weight loss' line at slimming world so I suspect she would have said it had more to do with the kitkat, snickers bar, ginger cake, curry etc I ate at the end
:rotfl: :rotfl:
