Emergency prawns indeed

Right, not done a bit of adding up in a while so best get on with it (and then best get dressed and start work!)
I'm sure I'll remember other things I've forgotten:rotfl:
£1 meeting donation last night (from envelopealthough still comes off total).
£4 on fruit on way home, but that comes from foody budget so doesn't count0 -
Also enjoying the concept of emergency prawns! (Although I came across someone on the main DFW board yesterday who, in all seriousness, claimed that their Next Storecard was only kept for "use in emergencies" - eh? What?! :rotfl: I'm afraid that yes, I did tell them very gently that I honestly couldn't think of a single emergency where that might help!)
Sesame Snaps are tasty - I can completely understand both your buying them in the first place AND them getting eaten in one go.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Right - signature updated for 9 NSDs :j :j :j Can't quite believe how many, and what a difference that's made to general mindfulness about spending too! :j
In terms of the total - £144 seems quite close to £200 now:rotfl: Still, not much in the way of planned spends left this month :j
Thurs - working at home, NSD
Fri - dentist for crownwill pay in couple of weeks. No other plans
Sat - no plans
Sun - no plans other than meeting donation
Mon 26th - no plans (but off work! :j ). £5 for slimming world
Tues - working at home, NSD (meeting donation from envelope)
Wed - fieldwork - NSD
Thurs - fieldwork - NSD
Fri - off work, no plans - payday so might go to bank to get new envelope money
Sat - no plans
So if I manage all those NSDs that will take me to a total of 13 this month! :j :j Wonder if I could make it 15  :rotfl:
Just having a look what's left in each of my envelopes...
£16 clothes (although I've just realised I didn't take £8 for shoes outo of that, so technically only £8 left)
£6.50 meeting donations (probably won't use all that - will carry over (or possibly pinch :rotfl: )
£5 slimming world pot
So that adds up to £27.50, meaning there should theoretically be £28.50 left somewhere
£6.50 in purse
£20.31 in my bank account
Crikey - that might actually (pretty much) add up!  I was expecting wild discrepancies but seemingly not!!
AND I haven't poached anything from the savings to top up the joint account this month either! :j :j :j Tis all ticking along nicely
Left my last lot of paid-in expenses (£150) in there, and have used a fair bit of that again, so I might just leave that there as a float. Or I might get out and put in a separate purse, we'll see.
Exciting stuff, this being-in-control malarkey, isn't it?? :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Thanks
Mind you, I know how fickle I am - I'm pretty good at getting on board when something's new and shiny but when the novelty wears off...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That's me too
Emergency haircuts I can get on board with
Emergency prawns not too sure as prawns yuck! But yes I understand where they may be used in an emergency. But a NEXT emergency?? Nope sorry I can't see that one!
Well done on the NSDs cheery. And having money left over. Well done you :T envelopes are the way to go I thinkGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Definitely are, Starnac! :j And keeping an eye on those pesky misbehaving bank accounts of course!
Nearly did myself a mischief this evening. Sat down to pay Mr Cheery's national insurance bill from the joint account, but couldn't figure out how to attach a reference number to it online (it turns out you need to do it through 'pay bills' rather than 'transfer funds')
Rang up instead, logging in with my own account number (which is the one I know off by heart), and right at the last minute she said 'you do know this will take you overdrawn?' I was trying to pay it from my own account (which has barely anything in it)...
Anyway, never would have done that if I'd figured out how to do it online, and we've now set up a direct debit so I won't have to do it again!
Anyway, was just popping in to say I haven't even left the house today (except to vote) and so am declaring it as NSD number TEN!! :j :j :j :j :j

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: My thoughts exactly
Not a NSD today. Had a temporary crown fitted so spent an hour in the dentist (although don't have to pay til they fit the proper thing next month - £219  )
Popped to the fabric shop and got some black fabric and some elastic to make an experimental skirt
Slightly misjudged how much I needed, and how wide the fabric is, and I've got enough to make a floor length one that wraps around me one and a half times :rotfl:
Ah well, you can never have too much fabric, and in total I got loads of fabric (possibly enough for 2 skirts??), elastic and a stitch ripper all for £6.02 so pleased with thatThat's this afternoon's entertainment
Just off out to the shops so more spends - got a document to print and bind so that'll be a few quid, and the anaesthetic is wearing off my face and I'm having a SLIGHT sense of humour failure about it so I might need a treat:rotfl: :rotfl:
