Right - got the evening to myself so time for a ludicrously overambitious list :D :rotfl: Tea is finished, washing up is done :j :j Got a few more things I'd like to cross off though:

7-7.30 - print house lease form, hang washing up (both in the attic :rotfl: )
7.30-7.45 - get rubbish out of the car (like actual rubbish, orange peel and coffee cups etc :o:o )
    7.45-8 - send diploma emails
8-8.30 - work on diploma blog post
8.30 - curl up with knitting and another episode of Victorian Farm :D LOVE that programme, and just discovered they're all on YouTube :j :j :j
9.30 - chocolate orange dessert thingy should be set by then so have a bit with a nice cup of tea, then back to knitting :j

    Ready, steady, GO!

Let's wait and see how much of it I actually get done before you start being ashamed :rotfl: Not that there's any need of course! :D

    - house lease form printed, along with letter, land registry docs and copy of name change :j Only problem is, I appear to have *packed* all our !!!!in envelopes :rotfl: :rotfl: Fairly sure I realised this several months ago and bought another pack, but I can't find those either :o :rotfl:
    - washing hung up :j

Sister rang so nattered to her for a bit, and now it's gone dark, so I'll do the car tomorrow :P

Just emails and 30 mins on blog post then I can curl up (you *did* notice that one of those list items involved watching tv, and another one was essentially 'eat pudding'?? :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Right, let's see the final tally :j

Well... All the important things got done :D Went dark before I did the car so will sort that tomorrow morning. Choc orange thingy showing no signs of setting  so I've had a couple of spoonfuls anyway :rotfl: but will leave most of that til tomorrow :D

Not sat down with my knitting either yet - got sidetracked trying out the new 'wallpaper stripper' chemicals - can't say they're much use but I did get a bit stripped off :j

Just filling the hot water bottle and then off to curl up on the sofa - not entirely sure I can be bothered doing any knitting now though :o

Ooh, and today was a NSD :j :j Er, unless you count the £3 I spent getting a copy of the title register for the house from the Land Registry. Entirely unnecessary - I;ve done it before but it was saved on the old computer, and I couldn't make it turn on. However, the blithering thing fired up as soon as I'd paid for another copy. Darn it! :rotfl:

Last day off work tomorrow  best make the most of it!

I used one of these for wall paper stripping - fab device (you can buy them in all sorts of places and you can get new blades for them to keep them nice and sharp) http://www.screwfix.com/p/harris-jumbo-super-stripper-6-/79050?kpid=79050&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&cm_mmc=Google-_-Shopping%20-%20Decorating-_-Shopping%20-%20Decorating&gclid=CNLIj6vy8csCFUEaGwodG7EMLg

We use a spray bottle full of sugar soapy water to soak the walls before scraping - far easier than the old sponge and bucket method my Dad taught me.

Ooh, that looks exciting Pooky :D will investigate :D I'm using a spray bottle too - far less mess! Tried water and soap, watdr and vinegar, and now water and stripper, and they all seem much of a muchness. Main problem seems to be several layers of ancient paper topped with several layers of paint - think it's just going to take time sadly!

Sun's shining and we're off on another house area investigatig expedition :j :j

The blade stripper will be your friend - even works on woodchip! :)

    Morning :hello:

Just a quick pop in, more to prove to myself that I have time before work to sit down with a cuppa and check in for 2 mins than anything else :D

YNAB done :j All good. Paid in 13 days :D

Swimming lesson last night. Used to go to these a few years back and they were exactly the same - like a kind of drop in, just pay and go, no block of classes. One teacher, about 10 of us, al at different stages. Tis more like you're paying for a mostly empty pool than any actual *teaching* and as the only instructions she gave me were 'see how many lengths you can swim in 25 mins' and 'don't put your arms out so wide' and then ignored me for the rest of the class, I shan't be bothering again.

Still, I was a bit grumpy so landed up swimming 1200m in the 55 mins we were there - further than I've ever been before! :D

    Right, best get to work...

That doesn't sound too good Cheery :( I would expect some actual teaching if that's what you are paying for. Otherwise you could just go to the normal sessions

It'san adult drop in thing starnac, £6.50 (that pool is usually £4.50). More aimed at folk whoc can't swim much at all but even so, with 10 of us there's only 6 mins of tutor time each which isn't much, as none of it is group work. The other pool is only £3 so I might revert back to that, or this pool is close to work so might just go early morning before I start. 8.30at night is far too late to be going swimming anyway in my opinion! :D
