    Yes of course I am out of bed! :eek: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    In fact, I have:

    * cycled 10 miles
    * visited friend

    Ok, so that's not *that* much gone from the list... :rotfl: :rotfl: Going to head up the ladders in a bit and test it out.

    ooh, and I've just remembered the window bloke is coming at 9am tomorrow! Doesn't need to be inside (I don't think) but I'll need to clear stuff off the windowsills, and clear the pots from under the windows outside :eek: How did I forget about that?! :rotfl: That might take over in importance from testing out the ladders :D

    Always worth checking :D I've only ever ONCE been known to stay in bed that late (til about 5pm actually) but, er, I wasn't the only one in there :eek: :o:o :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Windowsills all cleared, and pots etc move outside. Lots of soil and sogginess and worms under them so I'll get out first thing with the sweeping brush - don't want them tripping over while carrying my giant panes of glass! :eek:

    Now I've got the rest of the evening to myself :j :j Going to wash the dishes, contemplating a bath (but sometimes a bath just seems like too much effort :o ). Got a couple of emails to send and might just curl up with my knitting :D

    New budget day tomorrow :j :j

    Morning Pippi :hello:

    All cheerful here :D Window blokes are here fitting new double glazing panes and they were struggling to get the kitchen window out as there was some special kind of glue involved - then there was a giant almighty crash and it all came out in a million pieces :eek: :eek: :rotfl: Made me jump :rotfl: :rotfl: Apparently they normally come out in one piece :rotfl:

    Still, on the upside, the bloke is going to get his industrial hoover out :D I did ask if he'd do the rest of the house while he was at it :D :rotfl:

    Quite excited to have a big job ticked off :j :j

    Right, going all flylady again these last few days so will crack on with my morning routine :j Obviously that involves YNAB - and ooh, it's a brand new month so I get to fiddle and make sure everything's ok :j :j

    Right - kitchen window sorted :j SO clear and shiny it looks like there isn't a window at all :D (there is, I checked :rotfl: ) First living room one came out in one piece without a problem, thank goodness :j

    YNAB fiddled with. Have made a few changes - put my 'moving house' categories against the normal savings account rather than the ISA. This is a psychological thing - there's enough in the ISA to cover them but it's a 30 day waiting thing, and I'd prefer to be able to save enough to cover them without dipping into it.

    Current savings target is £7500 :eek: but in the range we're looking at, stamp duty varies from £2500 to £7500 :eek: so obviously we'd need more than that (and would dip into ISA if we had to). Currently got £3600 in there :j :j which according to MSE guide will cover

    * conveyancing fee
    * land registry fee
    * removal van (*apparently* we're doing the removals ourselves... apparently...)
    * couple of surveys, just in case
    * valuation fee
    * 49% of estate agents fees :D

    Still got to save for
    * other 51% of estate agent fees
    * stamp duty between £2500 and £7500

    I know it doesn't all have to be paid upfront but I'd much rather do that if I can than stick it on the mortgage and pay interest on it for years :money:

    So - bring on April :D :j

    Shouldn't be too spendy - got a challenge to keep my personal unnecessary spends under £100 :eek:

    Got a wedding to go to, but it's 'no presents' and we just have to take some food.

    Other than that, no trips away (except maybe a family visit, so just some extra diesel), nothing major social planned (except my birthday :D but no special plans for that either).

    Main expense will be house
    £225 windows
    £450 bedroom ceiling
    £150 (maybe) attic stairs plastered
    = £825 :eek:

    That'll have to come from a combination of house maintenance, holiday fund (we'd already decided this would go towards the house this year - still got no quibble fund building up for weekends away) and I might have to poach a bit back out of the moving house fund (I'll put it back next month!)

    All good :j

    Morning MSE Chums :hello:

    49th parkrun done in the pouring rain :j Home now and trying to thaw out with coconut and pear porridge and a nice cup of tea and a hot water bottle :D Don't plan on going far for the rest of today!

    Windows bloke paid - think he wanted cash (and said he'd asked for it on the phone) but I'm 99% certain he didn't, or I would have got it out. Didn't have the car with me, so he had to put up with a bank transfer. Ah well.

    Plasterer coming Thursday to measure up for scaffolding. Seems scaffolding wasn't included in original quote but he reckons he can hire some very cheap - I have my doubts about his estimate but we'll see...

    Plans for today...
    - flylady routines
    - white wash (and try to bleach the manky stains out of the cuffs of my running top :o )
    - diploma related emails

    Was planning to do some gardening but not in this pouring rain! At least I can tell I've got windows now as they're covered in raindrops :rotfl:

    Ooh, and we currently have THREE floorboards on the landing! :j Can't tell you how exciting that is :D Nothing like tiptoeing over joists to get to the loo for 3 weeks to make you appreciate having an actual FLOOR! :j :j :rotfl: :D

    Planning on taking it fairly easy today... not long before going back to work and I want to be nicely rested! :D

    Well you're sounding most organised I have to say me dear.

    The selling stuff adds up doesn't it - but it WILL be worth it in the end, the other house liability ended yesterday for DH and he's just said its a load off his mind.

    He finally feels as if he lives here in this new house.

    So you'll absolutely find it worth it when its done :D

    I am surprisingly organised :D I'm sure it'll end once I go back to work :rotfl: :D Trying to keep on top of flyladying though - makes me feel less like I live in a building site :D

    :j :j yay to DH living in your house :D Excellent work :D

    Right - sun's come out (well, I can see a bit of blue sky and it's not raining, anyway) so I'm off out to plant my cheery flowers I bought the other day :j Remembered your lovely purple wallflowers Pippi, and got some red ones to match our ludicrous red window frames - make it look like I did it on purpose :D :rotfl: Also got some red black eyed susan things to climb up the sides of the front door. This house *will* look like a cottage, damn it! :rotfl: :D
