I don't know why it does that, it's most vexing, makes me look like a right twit! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

And of course I get to visit another couple of pesky hounds tomorrow too:j :j

:j:j:j I envy you the doggies! Pat them for me :T:T:T2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Shall do :j
Today's furry pal didn't recognise me when I went in! Out of context I suppose, and I've not seen him for a wee while, but he was growling and cowering away from me as I entered (big wimp - not much of a guard dog!!). Once I got him outside though he recognised Mr Cheery in the street and was all tail wagging and cheerfulness
So, finally home from meeting with a picnic for the train :j Leaving things to chance and not bothering to pack until the morning...
(remind me of that in the morning when I'm regretting it :rotfl: )0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: as long as you're not going trekking in Nepal, I'm sure you'll manage. I bet you've *been* trekking somewhere, haven't you! I must do a mini-trek somewhere.
Enjoy the train too! I like trains
ETA oh! a train is a bit too normal for you to enjoy, isn't it! Enjoy the arrival, then2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well this first leg is my exact journey to work so i'm not too excited about it :rotfl: Must remember to get on the next train and not go to the office!! :rotfl:
Surpassed myself this morning - walked past library and remembered my books were due back tomorrow so actually went in and renewed them - no fines for once! :applause:
MP3 player loaded with radio 4 podcasts and i'm knitting a new pair of socks :applause: sun is shining and i do love a train (even the train to work! it's still got some good scenery!) so happy happy happy :j
Planning to get a cup of tea at York - doesn't get any more exciting than this! :j :j0 -

Yawn :rotfl: :rotfl:
Home nowand Mr Cheery has been clearing out the cellar  Still plenty to go mind you  but another 2 car loads have gone to the tip
Also found 2 boxes of my degree notes down there - i thoughht i'd chucked them years ago and had been regretting it ever since:rotfl: However, having been through them and reminisced about how organised I was back then (and studious and diligent), I have decided to just keep marked essays and course outlines, so I can see what I covered. 2 boxes of stuff in the recycling tonight! :j
Also bizarrely found entire folder full of someone else's degree notes that neither of us recognised :rotfl: sussed it now - mr cheery thinks they were inside aj: oot nib eht ni enog ev'yeht erom yna hcuot ni ton er'ew dna ti denoitnem reven ev'yeht sa tub oga sraey 21 enoemos rof derots eh k urt0 -
Oh for goodness sake!! HOW does it even do that?!
I'm not typing that on my phone again - if you want to know what i said it's all there, BACKWARDS, so when it stops making sense just start again from the end :rotfl: (except the first two words should read 'a trunk') :rotfl: :rotfl:
Right, best go and lug all this paper to the recycling bin! :j0 -
Evening cheerful chums :hello:
I swear there was a post by KC from last night (or this morning) laughing at my phone shennanigans but now it's gone! :rotfl: There's mischief afoot it appears... Very mysterious...
Anyway, just done some epic internet banking and YNAB fiddling :money:
It seems I managed to account for everything other than a stray £3.65 while away over the weekend, and I imagine that was spent on cake :rotfl: So no harm done
I'd forgotten we'd get a bit of interest on our emergency savings accout :j :j A grand total of £5.75 across two accounts :money: Not to be sniffed at!Transferred straight to the ISA already :j
And I must pop online to the ISA and see how much interest we got on there... should be quite a bit more - there's more in there, and the interest rate is higher...
In fact, I'll go and do that now0 -
Hmm - it seems we were paid £2.80 interest at the end of 2014, which was only about 2 months after opening the account, and nothing since then. I was thinking ISAs paid interest at the end of the tax year, but maybe this lot do it at the end of the normal year?
Ahhhh - just found their terms and conditions (which I did read before I opened the account, honest!:rotfl: ) - interest is calculated daily and paid on 1st January and 1st July. So July's should be a nice bit bigger than £2.80 hopefully! :j :j
(still won't be able to retire on the interest, mind you :rotfl: )
Decluttering and sorting is continuing apace here :j :j Mr Cheery on the case sorting everything into little plastic labelled tubsMy degree notes went out with the recycling men this morning *sob* and Mr Cheery has done another trip to the tip with stuff from the cellar :j
Not sure what I'll do next - possibly a start on the attic paperwork? Or I've got a bag of clothes ready to go to charity shop on Friday - maybe I'll add a bag of books to it? :j0
