Cheery's buttling diary: tea in one hand, plant pot in the other, running shoes on

Sounds good to me, Cheery - I'm sure a lot of safety gear and knowledge is needed for working on a roof, and I don't know what the weather is like with you, but it *glorious* here, if you're going for a walk, today's the day
ISA topping, knitting and P&P/Good Life are all excellent too - have a brilliant day
:hello:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC
Actually I landed up working this morning :eek: I did LOADS on Friday when I worked - partly because it felt like 'extra' time so I didn't have a constant sense that I should be doing something else work-related
I don't normally go in for this type of behaviour :eek: but we're VERY close to the end of a three year project, there are things that should have been done but haven't, and after a day and a half of working (Friday and this morning) I'm a LOT closer and feel a LOT happier :j :j
Anyway, Friday I'm exchanging for next Thursday, when I'm off to visit a cheery pal up northand today I'll just take half a day as annual leave, and save the other half for another time :j :j
Just had THE nicest leftovers lunch :j :j and as soon as we've had another cuppa we WILL leave the house, promise :rotfl:0 -
Yay to your cheery pal up north

Yay indeed, super excited :j :j
Lovely day :j Wandered down through the woods and sat in a cafe for a bit, then home. Walked probably 6 or 7 miles? Gorgeous day, had to take my jumper off and wished I could take shoes off too!
Sat in the garden now and i've had my shoes off and been eating a chocolate mini milk i found in the bottom of the freezer :rotfl: feels like summer already :j :j0 -
:j:j:j that really *does* sound like summer!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Doesn't it :j :j
Had some news at work today - I won't be working Fridays after all... Not wholly unexpected, and in some ways perfectly reasonable decision, but I can't say I'm impressed about the way it came about.
Still, I still get to do my cheery project :j and I get my Friday's back, so all's not that bad :j :j
(Does mean I don't get the extra £1500 though... which is a shame as that would have paid for the work on the roof :rotfl: )
Ah well, can't win 'em all.
Mr Cheery driving to see a friend in York tomorrow, so I'm cadging as far as his house then we're going to cycle to the office together so I can give Mr Cheery a tour :rotfl:
Realised I'm going away on Thursday morning for the whole weekend and there's a million things I need to do :eek: G
* fill in grant reporting form for allotment association money - not due til next Friday so it could wait til I get back
* work on diploma research project - really could do with getting the ball rolling on this one, at least sending a couple of emails...
* pack!
* figure out what times trains are and let everyone else know (probably should have done this weeks ago...)
* water plants
* house is a complete tip but Mr Cheery will just have to live with it :rotfl:
aarrgghh!0 -
What a shame about the money - the *process* doesn't sound good either
Lift cadging, office tours, and cheery trip away sound wonderful tho
Don't forget to water the plants2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm trying not to complain *too* much about it kc (on here at least, can't promise about real life!!) but let's just say I am Considerably Vexed (yes, with capitals)...
Ah well, that's life, and it gives me a bit of space for other things stupid phone!Yep, ignori0 -
Sorry :rotfl:
Did some diploma stuff last night, and some stuff for allotment association, so they can be safely left :j Everything else will be ignored til I get back - although I WILL water the plants, and possibly tomorrow morning too :j :j
We're looking after neighbour's cheery dog for a couple of hours tonight :j :j Love that dogSadly he's on his own all day while we're here but we didn't know that til last night so couldn't offer to help!
Right, best crack on...0 -
