    Morning chums :hello:

Grey and gloomy here today, and I'm taking advantage by squeezing in a morning of work so I don't spend the weekend fretting about it (I know, I know....)

Made a cup of tea, but by the time it took me to discover we had no porridge OR yogurt OR fruit, and instead knock up an omelette and clean the kitchen, my tea's gone cold

Don't think it's a good omen to start the day with cold tea...

Still, Healthpril still on track :D :j :j Avoided chocolate at the station yesterday :j (had a bag of sour cream popcorn and a babybel instead :rotfl: not exactly :money: but I don't binge on non-sweet stuff so it was the best option!

And my omelette this morning was Extremely Tasty - onion, mushroom, quark and coriander :j :j Mind you, I do usually need a few carbs in the morning so not sure how long it'll keep me going for.... (long enough to parcel Mr Cheery off to the shops for porridge, no doubt :D )

Do you have cheery plans for the long weekend? I'm going to work some of this morning, then got a roofer and a plasterer coming to quote  and we're off to a friend's tonight for a nice cup of tea :j

This afternoon I think I'm going to get the FINAL bits of paint off the shower :j and maybe even paint over the grout to turn it white again :j

And I might (finally) get round to sorting out some clothes and books...

For now though, best get that kettle back on and crack on with a bit of work!

I've just committed to doing a bit of DIY myself - sealant around the kitchen waste pipe! After its done, I must remember to leave the cabinet door open every so often, sort of ventilation thing, I suppose ;)

Buying basil seeds tomorrow, wherever I am - might pop down to the coast, tho I don't expect to find basil seeds on the seashore :D

Then off out for a countryside walk on Sunday with my sister :)

A protein start to the day is fairly filling, Cheery, I think - I was looking at the MMM forum the other day, and found a recommendation to put a teaspoon of peanut butter in porridge, and I've been doing it all this week, it definitely has an effect. Still eating the porridge, of course :rotfl:

    Have a good one :j

Ooh, I bet peanut butter in porridge is GORGEOUS! :j :j (although peanut butter is one of those things I don't seem to be able to have in the house without scoffing it all :o ) :rotfl:

Just had someone round to look at the roof. Few things need doing and in some circumstances he'd recommend a new roof, but since we're moving he's happy to just do the minimum to stop it leaking :j Quote on the way (hopefully!)

Hope the plasterer is as cheery and efficient in an hour! :j

Are you *sure* you're moving??? Still, the roof definitely needs to not be leaking :)

Good luck with the plasterer - hope he's as good as the roofer :)

Not absolutely sure, no - but in any case (a) the roof needs not to leak and (b) I don't want to pay to have the whole thing redone so it works out the same really :)

Surprisingly still not hungry after omelette at about 9am :j but then I've done nothing other than sit on my backside - if I'd cycled 5 miles to work I might feel differently :rotfl:

Yeah to avoiding the sugar! I'm not doing to badly on that front, but my fat & refined carb consumption has gone up:eek: so think this month is going to be a challenge to keep that down as well. (and loose the 3lbs that creapt on over the past 1.5 weeks!)

OH has a terrible habit of picking up sweets from the Mr W bakery and justifying it by saying they were reduced! I did well yesterday to say no to the sweet cake he'd bought, but that meant he had two! This month I'll keep yogurt on tap - much rather he ate that with a squeeze of honey!

Ah yes, reduced things don't seem to count somehow, do they? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Need a good shopping trip here - yogurt is my go-to snack of choice and we don't have any at the minute

Well, I was waiting til the plasterer came at 12 to have lunch - but since it's now nearly 1 and he's not been, I think I'll start cooking  Bet he'll turn up just as I'm in the middle of it! :rotfl:

(on the other hand, writing is going MUCH better today - no other distractions of email or people wanting things from me so I'm cracking on nicely :j Not *easy* but going better than it has been, most satisfying!) :j

Well the plasterer STILL hasn't shown up - and I've given up and am back to 'I'm going to do the damn thing myself' mode :D

Quite a productive day yesterday :j

    * pottered about in the morning (fairly sure I did something productive, but goodness knows what :rotfl: )
    * sorted out clothes and shoes - got another bag for the charity shop :j
    * friend's house for a cuppa, and to borrow a lead to plug in the steam stripper thingy
    * yet another trip to the tip :j
    * bought a load of cladding for the bathroom
    * got all hot and steamy getting the last of the paint off the bathroom tiles :j :j Tis all white in there now, and looks ace! :j
    * dug over part of the garden, ready for planting plants today :j
    * made a rather tasty saag aloo and egg fried rice - no takeaways in Healthpril! :money: :rotfl:

    So today's plan is

    * get dressed :rotfl: (I like realistic ambitions) :D
    * plant new cheery plants in garden
    * plaster bathroom :rotfl:
    * don't eat any easter eggs

Let's see how far we get... :rotfl: :rotfl: 1 and 2 I reckon I can manage - slightly less sure about 3 and 4 :D :rotfl:

    Oh! And I now have a camera again! :j :j :j :j

Not the camera I lost, you understand, oh no :rotfl: That's still lost somewhere :rotfl:

This is my two-cameras-ago camera, which I always hated and never got on with, and ended up replacing with the one I left on the allotment, which I then ended up replacing with the one I lost a couple of weeks ago in the house somewhere :rotfl:

Still, this one does actually work, and has the added bonus of me knowing where it is :D And I did use it for several months before I gave up on it so it's better than no camera at all! :j

Ah - a girl after mine own heart - a good dose of reality to start the day!

I too am dressed - and a load of laundry in - OH scrubbed the bathroom floor & I've scoffed some red stickered posh fruit salad - yum!

    Happy Easter dearest Cheery!:D

:EasterBunI'd advise number 4 is a lost cause today - but you can resume regular service tomorrow!;)
