Thank you! :kisses3: same to you too :D

Well I don't actually HAVE any easter eggs in the house, which is a good start :rotfl: But then neither do I have any normal eggs, and I was planning to go to the shops, and there may be reduced things...

But then healthpril is going pretty well at the minute and I don't want to sabotage it! :rotfl:

I can report I am now dressed :D :j And the sun is shining :j And I have a second cup of tea :D And Mr Cheery is up, so I can start dragging plastering things out of the bedroom :j

    Back in a bit to report [STRIKE]success [/STRIKE][STRIKE]progress [/STRIKE]amusing disasters :D

    So far in numbers:

Minutes spent clearing old plaster from bucket and tools = 20
Area plastered so far = roughly 20x60cm section of windowsill
    Giant arguments = 1
Conciliatory curries = 1 (very nice)

    :o

Well, I still haven't done the plastering :o :rotfl:

Done a bit, by the window, and patched up some other bits, but then realised just how much paint was flaking off, so had to remove that, and after several hours of perching on the side of the bath/loo seat/ high stool with paint scrapings raining down on me, I had a bit of a sense of humour failure :o

So, got the hoover out and gave everywhere (well, the bathroom :rotfl: ) a good clear up :j :j Obviously still not decorated, but now at least you can have a bath in peace :rotfl:

Also made some bean burgers earlier so they've been chilling in the fridge :j :j Also made some coleslaw and just got some potatoes boiling for wedges so that'll be a nice tea :j :j

After I had my giant sense of humour failure :o I decided I need a bit of a break, so sat in the garden in the last of the sunshine IN JUST A T SHIRT! :j :j :j and read the magazine of the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners and had a nice cup of tea :D Very jolly :D

Just waiting til potatoes are in the oven then back out to FINALLY plant all these plants! :rotfl:

I meant 'without a jumper' not 'without my trousers' :o :rotfl: (although I admit that wasn't quite what I said  ) :rotfl:

Yes, I can confirm I was also wearing jeans and underwear and 2 pairs of socks and my walking boots :D

Plants planted and watered :j :j Haven't cleaned up the paths but that's hardly my priority right now :rotfl:

Bean burgers and potato wedges eaten :j Gosh they were extremely nice :D

And now the water's on for a bath :j

Blimey, what a day you had  :rotfl:

Well I hope it was lovely in the end, Cheery - you're working too hard, y'know, thats why you had a sense of humour failure (which is a great description of losing it :D).

    Sleep well :)

Thanks kc :kisses3: I love that phrase, use it all the time :D :rotfl: Pretty good description of what happens to me! :rotfl:

Well Mr Cheery had a bath in the end (he was much grubbier than me :rotfl: ) and I started knitting a new pair of socks on front of Pride and Prejudice :j Excellent fun :j Although I did have to do a fair bit of rewinding as I kept dozing off :o :rotfl:

Four episodes down, two more to go :j

Which reminds me, I still haven't finished watching all the episodes of The Good Life that I got for Christmas :j :j

Lovely sunny day today :j We're off out for a walk somewhere later, figured we could do with a small break from DIY and decluttering :o :rotfl: Will probably combine it with lunch :D

Oh! And I tell you what else I did yesterday - topped up my ISA :j (at least I hope I did anyway, no idea how long these things take to go through!)

Last two months of patchwork money were sat in the current account in case we needed instant access to them for eg paying roofer etc, as ISA is a 30 days notice one.

However, we decided that we had enough in the emergency fund to cover that if it didn't come within general home repairs budget, or it could wait til next payday anyway.

Didn't put it all in - just added £611 to top it up to a round £6000 :j Kept another £283 to contribute to home maintenance - spending quite a bit on that at the minute although we've set ourselves an informal cap of about £2k
(might have to rethink that mind you - roofing quote came in at just over £1k  )

    Stupid phone cut me off!

Hoping to spend all of that from normal wages as we go along - accepting that some months Patchwork Fund might not get *quite* as much as usual... Since we're doing most things ourselves (except the roof! ) it's just materials - although it's easy enough to spend a fortune on them too!

Anyway, NO heavy DIY today :j If anything at all, just a little light sorting of a few (NOT ALL!) books for the charity shop :j

And possibly no house-related activity at all :D :j
