  • You have my attention now about the young ones and helping them out. How much would u say for an oil painting (i have a few from my grandfather God rest him ) and would like to add to my collaction but have never bought 1 so am not sure about price and it would be for an average size painting, not 1 of the small ones you can get. tia.

For an average-sized framed oil painting of, say, 24" by 18", somewhere around £120 to £150 might be a good starting 'offer'. To me, that sounds like a realistic price that won't insult the artist, but not too much that you've way overvalued it. Always difficult to guesstimate, though:)

One consideration to bear in mind, is the frame. If it's a standard-type frame (the kind you could get done in a typical high street art supplies shop), then that's not usually an issue when estimating price. If it's been properly framed by hand, with hand-stained wood or a different material (I had one artwork framed using the moulding intended as a fireplace surround, for example, but fortunately I've got a mate who is a craft framer), then that could cost £100 just to have it framed.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I was going to apply for more greenredeem vouchers but like TM, have my suspicions about how long they will be around for. Doing one final M&S shop before my voucher runs out this week....even though I won't get anywhere near Jelly's result ;)

Good afternoon all, I'm not getting much chance to get on here at the minute but trust all are doing ok.

I'm sure you clever lot already know this, I know there's been something with Ariel online, but msm is now showing the 24 wash Ariel colour as being £4 at A and £2.19 at T - it seems to be showing the Aldi price for whatever for T too. So £1.99 for the large size if it compares like this instore.

EDIT Scrub that - it just literally changed to the right price as I was looking at it! :( Never seen that before.

Now the Ariel Febreze 24 wash is showing £4 A £2.19 T! :rotfl: Someone's fiddling about with the prices, let's hope it lands auspiciously.
    Hope is not a strategy.
