I have just had a phone call from my son.
The other day I gave him a packet of the T. finest burgers.
He cooked a couple of them this afternoon and had just started eating the second one when he felt a sharp pain in his mouth and pulled out a lump of glass!:eek:
It has cut the roof of his mouth, fortunately not seriously. I queried whether it might be a piece of bone, but he said it is definitely glass and looks like a bit out of the bottom of a bottle.
He is going to bring me the burger and the glass tomorrow, so I can persue this matter with T. and probably Environmental Health.
Glad he seems ok squigs that could have caused a bad injury.0 -

Yes we are all here to save money but we also enjoy hering about the lives of others and what they do. When anyone is facing servere hardship we do what we can to help with the knowledge we have.
I for one am not going to stop talking about my day, experiences or a well saved for break in the sun for fear of upsetting someone who is scraping to pay for food. But I will speak sensitively.
If anything it should encourage them that things will get easier one day.
This community supports everyone whether they are living on £50 a week or £5k a month. It is for moneysavers be they rich or poor.
This thread shows enough humility not to boast but also shares in others sucesses be it a good 1p item or saving for a new car holiday or even a bingo or lottery win.
Busy spider I hope you made the right decision for you and your family and of course your wonderful Gran who left you the money.
Cookie raider I hope today has been an equally good day for you and yours.
I now have some heat as mum bought over a good but noisy fan heater. The immersion heater is on so I am looking forward to a nice bath and the landlady has given permission for the gas engineer to call tomorrow.
While life did throw me a curved ball yesterday I am now happy and warm again although not as warm as I have been used to for the last week:T:T
Time to catch up.

TM, as your our resident M&S person, do they usually have £5 off promotions at easter do you know please?
I don't think they did this last year Bubbs but I seem to recall that there have been other occasions when there have been money off vouchers. I have a M&S credit card and collect loyalty points....it's only really worth it if you are shopping at M&S ...I use the bonus points vouchers wisely. At Christmas I had one worth £5 if I spent £5 on line. Some of them are a no brainer and well worth doing. I get about £15 back each quarter on average so intend to use them with the Greenredeem ones. It's only a matter if time before that gets pulled I think. To do is to be. Rousseau
