Reviews are now a maximum of 500 words (still minimum of 250). Can't agree with this, I write some pretty detailed reviews primarily because people want to know about my experiences.
'The site will now concentrate more on lifestyle, fashion, health and beauty' < This is coupled with people commenting on how the "Review" button on many things is now greyed out and DooYoo's response that "Please note that you are not able to write reviews on every category" (ended with a winky emote which really gets my back up). So I think it's safe to assume that book reviewers like me are no longer welcome.
So this could be why we have been told nothing - an utter disgrace. I'm fuming. 500 words is not sufficient to review a product properly. I shall see if my vouchers come through. But either way, we've been treated with such a lack of respect that I'm amazed they think anyone will bother. :mad:0 -
It's not looking good is it. At the moment I think I'll be hanging on til I reach my next cash out threshold and hoping it improves or I'll be off. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Has anyone found a way of knowing in advance how many miles you get per review? The FIVE site maps are nonsense (two are random lists of company names/products, and the other three are lists of catalogue numbers - neither use nor ornament). When you go into a product as if to review it, there's no info on the number of miles.0

500 words for a review?!
I don't write loads on mine but I can easily get up to 1000, sometimes more. I cant see how I/we can right sufficiently detailed reviews in only 500 words? Some items (for example food, drink, toiletries) 500 would be enough but for big things like washing machines, fridges etc 500 isn't enough in my opinion.
I am still to log on properly, Ive cashed out which is the important thing, I will take a step back and await it to be fully "updated" before doing anything else on Dooyoo:money::rotfl::T0 -
The website is in that new ‘Windows 8’ kind of app look, unfortunately I’m yet to find anybody who likes that particular look!
My issues so far are that my existing reviews are all in one long chunk instead of split up, my ‘summary’ is now the title for my reviews and I’m finding it really user unfriendly. I owed about 20 rates back when it went down, but I can’t work out where to find them to rate back? I also don’t like the fact that rates are now either ‘useful’ or ‘not useful’.
I really wanted it to be better, and I do miss writing and rating reviews and interacting with the community… but I’m thinking I might draw a line under my dooyoo experience now. Sad times, I was really looking forward to getting back into it and didn’t expect it to be this bad.

Stacemylove - I recognise you! I'm cazkins (or gothic_moon on Ciao). It's definitely sad times indeed. I've been on DooYoo for more years than I care to remember, but the new site, lack of communication and changes to how reviews can be written mean a lot of people will be feeling the same way. I've tried again to post a review, desperately trying to get the last few miles to cash out at £50, but it's still glitched; when you submit, the page goes funny and the review doesn't post. Well DooYoo, it's been good while it lasted...!... Just Keep Swimming ...0

Same here! I hate the new layout and can't find the new reviews page or who has rated my reviews. I am at £40 in my account, I hope to get to £50 and will then cashout and from then I think I'll be spending more of my time on Ciao.

I am so dissapointed in the new lay out, I wonder if the community aspect was costing them too much? If you go and look for a specific item it is easy and user friendly, but log in and try and see who has rated your reviews it is impossible. I have foundout browsing the site today that they bought out Ciao, I know someone mentioned that they thought Ciao had bought Dooyoo, well it seems the group that owns Dooyoo have bought Ciao.
There is no way to contact Dooyoo, just dead links orf nothing happens. I have butchered a review to try and fit it on and got down to 500 words of nonsense because it no longer flows, but cannot get it on the site. Over 500 words goes to an error. Under a pop up asks you to confirm and it has now been hanging for 15 minutes! Yet I see a few people have managed to get reviews on today.
I also noticed yesterday that my miles were around 47 + 000, today they are 46 + 000 so lost some somehow? argh! Also I was going in and updating reviews to continue being paid for reads and surprise surprise I cannot find a way to do that either.
Dooyoo - I loved to Dooyoo but perhaps not much longerso sad for those of you that have been building the comunity on there for years.

I've been gone for a while and it's all gone south!
I can't even log in. I've tried all the password combinations I would have used, it's not letting me in. I didn't have many points, but I could have read some reviews to help those of you who want to cash out
Is it true that they have bought out Ciao? I have managed to log in to there and I was going to write some reviews for it. I'm a bit dubious now though.0
