I adore San Pellegrino Limonata which I now buy in bulk from Amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sanpellegrino-Limonata-Cans-Pack-Total/dp/B008IDJPTI/ref=sr_1_3?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1390895505&sr=1-3&keywords=San+Pellegrino
Limonata is my favourite Soft drink and it beats the hell of lesser counterparts like 7up which I used to like till it affected my teeth.
I would rather have a little of a good thing than lots of an inferior cheap product.
I would follow your heart.
Tesco now sell it if that helps they sell 2 other varieties too £4 for 60 -

Fry's chocolate cream that had different fruit flavour creams in each section - delicious, I really miss that choccy bar. There was a strawberry cream, pineapple cream, I think lime, it was lime green colour and I didn't like that one so much, orange cream and I can't remember if the last one was lemon or the usual white cream or a raspberry?! Anyone else got a better memory than me?!0

Someone's mention of lemon bonbons has just reminded me of those little long, thin fruit bonbons, wrapped in white paper which was pinched out into a triangle at each end and had a little colour picture of the fruit in question in the middle of the wrapper. They were like hard, boiled sweets, but the inside was slightly soft and chewy.
'Crown Court' and 'Houseparty' bring back memories here too, but my sister's favourite daytime TV programme was always 'Paint Along With Nancy'. I think Nancy painted with oils using a knife. 'Mastermind' seemed to be on in the day a lot when I was off school for some reason too, but Crown Court was the best, even though I probably found it entertaining for all the wrong reasons. The only episode that still sticks in my mind after all these years involved a woman being had up for assaulting a bloke on a department store escalator with a frozen turkey in a carrier bag, but it still makes my wicked childhood self smileDecember 'Make £10 A Day' Challenge - £1.82/£155.000 -
Reading all these posts does bring memories back.
One I miss, is getting up in the morning, going to the back door to fetch the milk in, after brushing off the snow first. We kids used to sit and wait for the milkman if he was late, huddled by the rayburn fire to keep warm. As the eldest though, it was always my job to get some coal put on and make sure the fire was still in. The times I had to empty the ashes out of that thing from the age of about 10.
Talking about fashion, does anyone remember the shoes from the 70s, there was something called a polyvelt I think that was the fashion at the time. I used to be so upset that my dad wouldn't let me have them, they weren't proper school shoes, so he said but absolutely everyone else at school had them.
And they were the ugliest shoes going!!!0 -
Romantica - an Ice Cream, Meringue and Fresh Cream dessert - only seem to have disappeared around 15yrs ago. They were around before 'Roulades' started. Looks like they're still available in Ireland

Spira bars, we were holidaying in Wales when Cadbury first trialled them, think we ate them everyday for a week, then it took them another 6 months or so to roll them out across the country. I was really sad when they stopped making them.
Rounders....Minced beef wrapped in mashed potato and then breadcrumbed. Iceland(when it was Bejams) used to sell these, i loved them, much better than crispy pancakes.

Memories give you a warm glow - loving looking back to the days when sweets and chocolates were real treats.
I remember
Kunzel cakes, Rilchoc (very large blocks of chocolate in milk or fruit and nut), Bluebird toffee bars, Chipmunk crisps - an occasional treat from the school tuck shop, Corona pop, gorgeous jam and mock cream buns from the Sharrocks bakers van which used to come around on a Saturday, Flying Start (out before Ready-Brek - darker in colour and delicious), square boxes of sweet Alphabet Letters that hung on the Christmas tree and Fussells (sp?) Cream to go on tinned fruit.
Would love to find any or all of these things now!0
