That fusion website could be made with wordpress.

I use the theme Headway, which is customisable and you can make it look however you want. A few high quality images and simple sections on the webpage is all you need really.

Thanks all. We have made some changes now and have requested a new design for the telephone number section. The pictures have been updated and we have removed some of the menu options from the top bar.

When a customer is considering using an online business they haven't heard of they likely search in Google "company name reviews"

When I did this for you the Yell.com listing showed up so it's worthwhile asking your past customers to leave you a review there and also ask all customers to email you with feedback so you can put it up on your site.

Thanks for the advice, I'll take a look at the reviews now - currently we have them just posted on the facebook wall. We don't know how to put reviews on facebook! And we have been trying to do this for 6 months or more :-/

Definitely get some reviews, partner with other people in your industry and get a google places account. Start using social media consistently too.

Many SEO companies do charge a lot and can't guarantee results, like the quote you mention. Consider an option like this service where they combine a number of online marketing services into one so you get exposure in more places. Their service directs visitors from search engines, social media and relevant partner websites. Costs are per keyword and contract terms are only 4 months so if you decide it isn't working out at least you're not stuck in a 1 or 2 year contract like some SEO companies expect.
