So sorry that you have lost your mum, but she is out of pain now, and the memory of her will remain.

Hope your dad (and the rest of you) can bring each other comfort, as it's a very difficult time.

    Good wishes to you all.

    Lin :)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Really sorry to hear of your loss :( my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.

You all did your absolute best for your Mum and that is all any of us can do. It doesn't make the loss any easier.

    Take care x

  • Thanks to all for kind words - we are all very fragile but trying to focus on organising the funeral etc. Dad is in quiet despair but carrys on as those of his generation are want to do. I try to continue the practical and supportive son 'act' but my goodness losing a Mum is tough - what I wouldn't give for one last 5 minute chat with her - very very tough indeed.

My parents had been a couple for over 70 years when Mum died very suddenly. Dad was just completely stunned and, while he carried on with life, he never got over it. I think, in the end, that he died of a broken heart.

There is a lot of practical stuff to do but it's important to give yourself time as well.
