Thanks L. There's one on the maybe list but it's tiny, expensive for what it is, and the "garden" is nothing but slabs. Location works and it's available though, which is about all that can be said about it.

Plan for today, as weather is rubbish, is clearing out tack room and bike shed. DH and I taking it in turns. DS just settling for a nap so better crack on.

    OK so did some sums.

This month was predicted to be £576 short. This is because I basically let the Monthly Amex run away with me and took my eye off the ball. Well, more fundamentally it is because I am letting a family member stay in my flat (which I normally rent out) and that's been going on for 9 months now. Best part of £5k in income I haven't received whilst I still have to carry the cost. I'm trying to be feel altruistic, but when said tenant seems to have regular shopping trips and beauty treatments and what not, it's a bit inflammatory. Grr. OK, moving on...

So predicted to be £576 short. Overspent £105 as a legal bill came in (for the flipping flat, oh the irony), the £70 less that DH ended up owing me, £67 overspend on my half of the food shopping (this is horrific, we must address it), £87 went on the DD for next month's Amex (huge holiday payment on it hence minimum payment DD is high) and a host of other little bits and bobs. I did manage to offset with £130 of savings from other categories but... Long story short, I transferred £560 out of my savings account to cover the original predicted shortfall but should have transferred £350 to the credit card account which I haven't done. Sigh.

Maybe INOD. It needs very sensitive negotiations. Families, huh. Anyway we are waiting on the outcome of a Housing Benefit claim. Let's see. That's been over 2 weeks since I sent in my part of it, but not heard a peep yet.

Today's plan is more packing up of stuff outside. It's in pretty good shape now, just need to find somewhere to store it all! It can stay where it is for another few weeks, it's just good to know it's nearly all packed.

DS is sleeping so I better crack on. Again.

Still no sign of HB in my bank, or any word at all. Going to do a second viewing on the tiny house later (well my first). Called about another today but no pets. Ironic as it's been raining cats and dogs.

Well the missives are concluded on our house. Which is what we wanted and all good and all part of the plan, but also all depressing. Our lovely lovely house will be someone else's :(. The reason for me being so upset could be that the rental we have decided to go for (aka the only one available that is even a little bit suitable) is microscopically tiny and a bit depressing. But it's temporary and it should mean we can put away £1k a month into the future mortgage pot. More on that later.

Money wise not spending too much I don't think, but very little time to keep track. Been really very frugal for DS' birthday as he is young enough not to notice and we are packing most of our stuff into storage anyway.

No sign of HB yet. I think that's 4 weeks since I posted the information off now. Good old council efficiency.
