Thought it might be an idea to post and say I'm still here, reminded of MSE's existence by forum changeover emails! Life is good, the house build is progressing well. Sparky is in next week and then we are on to plasterboard. Budget is a little squeaky though! We've still got money left but there will definitely be borrowings before the end. I think I might start a new diary soon to reflect the new status. If things go to plan we will end up with a bit of short term debt, but no mortgage.

Anyway, hope everyone is well. I'll post again in 6 months or so  :#

Just a quick post to say I'm still here! Between house building and lockdown there hasn't been much time. But I see light at the end of the tunnel and we are close to being able to move in. I will have some new unsecured debt to deal with so perhaps a new diary may be useful. We will see.

Good to see you mfmaybe. If you do a new
diary would you mind posting the link on here so I don’t miss it please?

Good news on house nearly being ready to move in, how exciting! Does that also mean it’s nearly finished or have you got lots to do when you’re in?

There will definitely be lots to do! We had hoped to be completely done before we move in but that's just not going to happen. It shouldn't generally be too messy though. We're trying to get everything done we can claim vat back on, and then later do the rest. So carpets will wait but wood floors will go down, that kind of thing.
I will definitely add the link. I need to find time to catch up on all of your diaries too!
