Ugh I'm so tired today. WFH and already resisting the temptation to go back to bed. Still, lots of chores done today already - bins out, sheets changed and about to be hung out, cereal bars in oven, humans and animals all fed and mucked out and all in the right places. I've even got some paid work done.:p

Couple of admin tasks today and I must go and do some proper spreadsheet updating and money moving. Still over a week till payday. It's so slooooowww....

Thanks Brizzle for keeping an eye on me :D. Things have been manic really. DH has started his new job so we're both working full time. The house sale is still questionable (viewing has finally happened, but the weekend has intervened so we are no further forward). And our 5 year plan is moving in the right direction, but slowly. Basically I don't know what way is up!

I haven't updated financial spreadsheets for a while but I really must. I haven't been particularly spendy, I don't think; yet it's amazing how "little" bit soon add up.

Anyway tea is ready so I will catch up properly later!

So first the proper bad news. The house is back on the market. Meh, and all that. :(. Means I need to keep an eye on the gas too as we stopped the top ups.

In other bad news, DS hasn't been well so that has been taking its toll. Still, he is feeling better today and has gone off to nursery; I'd arranged the day off, so managed to ride my horse and have quite a chilled out day.

I've been updating spreadsheets which wasn't fun really. Have decided I keep losing track of my monthly credit card (as we both use it, and DH has to pay me half back). So I think an easier way might be to transfer the full budget each month straight into the account rather than dribs and drabs. So all the money I've planned for fuel, food shopping etc goes into the other account. Like a digital envelope system. The risk is still that I spend more than allocated though. Need to think on that one.

Oh, I need to update sig as managed to get CCRF past 50% :T. Have requested another £44 TCB which will add another couple of percent. The rest should be covered next payday or thereabouts, as I get the rest of my bonus. Once that is done I am basically debt free except for a my 2 mortgages, so I need to decide if it is time to move over to the mortgage free board. I like the discipline of paying down debt so need to think long and hard about this one.

Anyway must go and do a couple of things before picking DS up.

Carp re house, so sorry. Here's hoping a 'proper' buyer comes along soon.

Ah bless you all! I'm not all paid off yet, anyway, so maybe you have me for a while ;)

I've updated sig, another small amount stashed for the CCRF.

Ah - out of time - DS is home. Back later, maybe :p

Some notes for my own records:

Current predicted shortfall in bank account is £127. I reckon I can cut £40 off this based on buffer amounts in budget. Shortfall therefore £87. I am due £354 from my credit card account as I haven't transferred this yet. So if I transfer the £87 or thereabouts, I have an "extra" £267 in my card account. This is just as well, as across the cards/months I'm around £600 short. Yikes.

Once my CCRF is paid off I think I will build up a proper buffer in this account. I find it pretty complicated tracking the current balance vs what I have saved, as DH puts his spend on here too and pays me back. There must be an easier way. See, that's a new "debt" that can keep me here for a bit longer :p
