Sig updated with a small update to CCRF. Have another £90 coming from TCB that will get me pretty close to 50%. Hoping to squeeze that out of the budget somehow. So far this week I've had lunch in the office with me both days, and only one more day in office to go.
Meanwhile we are starting the slow process of clearing out excess stuff in the house in anticipation of moving.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Wonderful news!! So so pleased for you. When they called the election I was a little worried for you for buyers but that's great. Any news on a potential completion date? Nothing like a deadline to help the speed of decluttering

Thanks Brizzle, it's a huge weight off - date we are aiming for is mid July though not sure (yet) if that's 100% with the buyer. It should be as we accepted a little bit less in terms of £ on that basis. I think the job the buyer has is one of those that would be pretty unaffected by any kind of Brexit/Indy/politico nonsense so that's good. Scotland is a bit less complicated than south of the border in terms of property transacting too, thankfully.
Bobarella and Lucielle, thanks to you also, I meant to put that at the start of my post last night!

Woo hoo! Excellent news. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan. Maybe make a few £££ on things you are decluttering as you go?
Have you found somewhere yet? Exciting times.0 -
There is a plan afoot PF for a long term end goal. I don't want to say much more yet....
Also hoping I didn't speak too soon as the buyer has asked for a second viewing. This strikes us as unusual after we've accepted the offer. Agents aren't worried "yet" but understand why we are. Really hoping it doesn't all fall apart - that's quite unusual in the Scottish system; but I guess not unheard of. However in the meantime DH has had a really good clear out of the loft. 2 landrover loads have gone to tip/recycling/charity. We've got hold off a few boxes so we can start packing but given the buyer position, have decided to focus on the clearout part of it first.
In money news, I have drafted my tax return and if I've not missed anything, am due a £173 refund. My P60 isn't available yet so I've used payslip information, will therefore hold off submitting for now. If I do get that however, I will just allocate it against next year's tax fund rather than the CCRF. It's all the same bank account, just a different "envelope". But it does mean I don't need to put away the £50/month that was in my budget.
The monthly card account is still short. I have moved some more money in to it today but I need to find a better way to keep on top of it.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Thanks Brizzle. We've got the refresh of the home report to get through first, so let's see how that goes. Really hoping it all moves forward smoothly, keeping everything crossed.
So I need to put another £34 into the CCRF to make 50%. I haven't been giving this too much attention because I now know I will get enough bonus in June to cover it. But I must remember that putting this money back in savings is basically still paying back previous lifestyle choices. Once that reaches 100% I will truly feel like I've paid it all back.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Thanks for checking in. I think things are finally moving in the right direction. We've been grappling with a problem that showed itself recently with the house. It was beginning to look like it might be a large four-figure sum to put right. However, DH bought a couple of requisite tools, did some research, applied more hard graft than could ever be considered reasonable, and (fingers massively crossed) seems to have solved the problem. He delivers a medal for what he has spent most of the last two weekends doing.
The refreshed home report is also ok; so tomorrow it goes to the buyer's solicitor and we keep our fingers crossed again that things are still moving forward.
And in 5-year-plan news, it is beginning to look like this might be about to take a huge leap forward as well. How many fingers can you cross at one time?
Money-wise it wasn't exactly a cheap weekend. I had my hair done yesterday (saved for, at least) plus fuel in the car (budgeted for); got my first livery bill for the new place (budgeted for); and I spent £30 on really decent plastic storage crates for the baby stuff that I'm about to put in storage as part of the move. Payday still seems a long way away, too.
Still, I shall keep chipping away.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37
